Half the roadway bridge is still gone and will be till at least July and all freight is being moved by the rail line only. That’s a huge impact whether you can wrap your head around it or not Moe. Maybe Pootin can ask for a pinky promise to leave it alone like he did on his Black Sea Fleet? Oh wait he was told to piss off on that my bad.Just curious... What's the latest on that Kerch Bridge attack? Is that bridge still closed? How are those Kharkiv or Kherson offensives going? Is the Kyiv Regime gaining more ground? Has Putler's blood cancer or Parkinson's taken a terrible turn? Has the Ghost of Kyiv shot down the entire Russian air fleet yet?
Your point? Korea was held by Japan during WW2. We had occupation forces in many countries after WW2, and we helped them rebuild and restructure - they became host countries for our troops and willing allies rather than countries annexed by a conqueror like Russia. You do, for example, understand the difference between North and South Korea and East and West Germany I hope. Or that we have bases in places like England, but not like the Soviets had in Poland, Hungary, etc. Also how long do you think Castro would have kept Cuba without Russian backing? Compare our "continuing presence" in the Philippines and most of Micronesia to the fact that Russia isn't in Cuba only because the Soviet Union collapsed ... but China is taking their place. Did you know that Australia is building a base for our B-52s - I guess so we can expand our imperialism on their turf? Chinese aggression in the region would have nothing to do with that.
You know Putin could easily exit this thing with a face-saving deal. He could go to the Europeans, who are starting to get a little shaky (what a surprise) and declare the occupied provinces as a demilitarized buffer zones with UN peacekeeper forces keeping both sides militaries out BUT Ukraine would reestablish governmental authority over the provinces. Ukraine agrees to not join NATO. Putin gets to claim he secured Russia's borders and forced the (imaginary) Nazis to retreat. Europe foots the bill to rebuild Ukraine and it would be declared a free trade zone between Russia and Europe.
LMAO got a bad case of red ass going this morning don’t ya BruceyNorth Dallas-Cirillo said Transnistria wouldn't exist without Russian occupational forces which delegitimizes it, but South Korea wouldn't have existed without foreign soldiers occupying its soil either. It could likely stand alone today, but it couldn't in its first few decades. The South Koreans are willing allies now and have been for decades, but we and our puppet rulers in Korea committed massacres early on in order to shape South Korea into the client state we wanted it to be. Ironically, most of the people we killed were among the few that were brave enough to resist against the Japanese, and we put a lot of men who had willingly served Imperial Japan into power, including the dictator Park Chung-hee. South Korea was a dictatorship until the late 1980s and the US government helped the South Korean government put down pro-democracy upsrisings in Gwangju, Jeollanam-do and elsewhere.
You know Brucey if Pootin had not violated the Budapest Agreement in the first place Minsk 2 would never existThat was tried with the Minsk 2 agreement, but after the Ukrainian government didn't keep their word, it's going to be hard for the Russians to trust them with any similar type of agreement going forward.
We were unreliably informed by a stooge that this would not happen.
Shocking turn of events.![]()
There is a long way to go, but I had predicted that the Russians would re-enforce and retake a little territory and then a bloody stalemate would ensue. It seems now that Russia can't get organized. They seem to keep making stupid decisions....like the invasion in the first place. The U.S. or England would totally crush the Ruskies in a conventional war.
You are completely out of your mind. The UK wouldn't last 30 days in a conventional war with Russia. They barely have 80k troops. The US, at best, would fight to a stalemate in a conventional war. It wouldn't be an azz kicking like you are fantasizing about. There is a long way to go, but I had predicted that the Russians would re-enforce and retake a little territory and then a bloody stalemate would ensue.
