Hollande: ‘There will only be a way out of the conflict when Russia fails on the ground’

The Kyiv Independent: In an interview with the German newspaper Die Zeit, Angela Merkel said about the Minsk protocols that 'It was obvious that the conflict was going to be frozen, that the problem was not solved, but it just gave Ukraine precious time.'

Do you also believe that the negotiations in Minsk were intended to delay Russian advances in Ukraine?

François Hollande: Yes, Angela Merkel is right on this point.

The Kyiv Independent: Did you have the impression that Vladimir Putin would respect the Minsk agreements?

François Hollande: We couldn't know that.

However, Putin had accepted the Normandy Format, which required him to report regularly on the progress that could be made in implementing the Minsk agreements.

The Kyiv Independent: How do you think this war may end?

François Hollande: Negotiations are always the last step to conclude a conflict.

So let's get this straight... They negotiated in bad faith for 8 years with Minsk I & II in order to train the Kyiv army. But now you expect the Russians to come back again and allow you to negotiate in bad faith again?

Dammit... will someone tell Russia they are running out of missiles?

Up to 13% of Iskanders left in Russia, they cannot produce them Minister of Defense of Ukraine

Quote from Reznikov: "We have counted how many they have fired at us, how many they had and how many they had left. They have dipped into a critical reserve; they have somewhere around 11-13% of Iskanders left. According to their Soviet classical norms, they should keep a reserve of 25-30%. They've already dipped into it. Committed a crime from the point of view of their responsibility. It's the same with Kalibrs."

A Muslim handing out Christmas gifts... But I thought all Muslims were like the head chopping/suicide bombers that we see in ISIS/Al CIA-da.

The end of the year is full of various events, because in addition to summing up, endless meetings and meetings, there are festive events. However, today I finally managed to get out of the bustle of work for a while and devote this precious time to a good cause.

Together with the respected Medni Musaevna and the grandson of the First President of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, Akhmat, who arrived in time, I took part in the annual republican action “Give good”, the organizer and concurrently initiator of which is the Minister of Culture of the Chechen Republic Aishat Kadyrova.

When choosing toys, we overdid it a bit, in the end we collected much more than we originally planned. However, in the case of the action, this is only welcome. Because the collected money will be transferred for the needs of the children of military personnel who are in the zone of the NWO.

It is always a great pleasure for me to take part in this promotion, as it provides us with an excellent opportunity to give a gift to a child whose family is in a difficult financial situation. This year, it was decided to dedicate the action to the children of military personnel fighting against universal evil in the NVO zone. I think that this is a very correct, timely and wise decision.

Every year, a huge number of caring people gather around this Christmas tree, who sincerely want to help low-income families, give their children a real holiday. As you know, it is customary to give gifts on New Year's Eve, and the "Give Good" campaign complements this wonderful tradition in the best possible way.

I express my sincere gratitude to Aishat Kadyrova and everyone who decided to contribute to this noble cause! Of course, the smiles of children are more valuable than all money, because they make us truly happy.

Oil price cap is a joke. So Russian oil that is sold to one jurisdiction and refined, then resold to the EU/US is no longer considered Russian oil and can be sold above the price cap. How is this good for the consumers in The West? Instead of us being able to buy directly from Russia, we have a middle man that will tack on their own markup and sell it to us. Just stupid.

OFAC Preliminary Guidance on Implementation of the Price Cap Policy for Petroleum Products of Russian Federation Origin

Once Russian petroleum products or Russian oil are substantially transformed (e.g., subjected to any of the refining processes listed below) in a jurisdiction other than the Russian Federation, they are no longer considered to be of Russian Federation origin, and thus the price cap no longer applies: distillation (crude – atmospheric, crude – vacuum), thermal processes (delayed coking, fluid coking including flexicoking, visbreaking), catalytic cracking (hydrocracking, fluid catalytic cracking), catalytic reforming, catalytic hydrotreating (desulfurization), alkylation, isomerization, solvent extraction (de-asphaltizing, lube solvent extraction), de-waxing, or other refinery processes involving chemical transformation, separation, conversion, or treatment.
