1 Abrams is equivalent to 20-30 of the best tank Russia can field.
Well it looks like Ukraine is finally gonna get some German Leopard MBTs. They claim they need 300, so 100 would probably be sufficient to boot Russia.
Add to this 50 Bradleys, 100 Strykers, and a bunch of stuff from our allies, and you got a pretty decent offensive strike force.
So the UKR offensive I thought would happen when the ground froze appears to be on hold. Looks like they're gonna get up to speed on training / maintaining their new toys first. Probably looking at late Spring once the Rasputitsa ends.
Until then maybe time to hibernate. Watching the dumb Russian mobiks/criminals zerg themselves to certain death in Bhakmut is getting old.
The T-14 broke down on it's own parade. It will be at least another decade before its acapable fighting vehicle.I hate it when I have to agree with Hog but he's pretty close here. You really can't win a 30 to 1 ratio (it took 10 Shermans to kill one Tiger in open country) but it's going to be fun to see the best Russian tanks (which are not in our class) square off against the Abrams in what may be the best tank fighting terrain in the world. Assuming the Russians don't fully commit their airpower, it should be a wipeout.
I've also been reading that the Russians new tank, the T-14 Armata is a maintenance nightmare and currently they can only get a portion of them in operational condition. Went to one of their propaganda websites called Russia Beyond. Pure fantasy when describing their capabilities.
I thought they were pulling older variants out of long term storage just like they did the Bradley’s?The Abrams are not coming from current stocks but new orders from the production line so they won't be available for awhile. So right now only Challengers and Leopards are on the way. Sweden said they are open to supplying their Stridsvagn 122 (which is based on the Leopard) to Ukraine as well.

More details coming out on the Ukrainian officials resignations and dismissals over corruption concerns.

And after watching some of the Putin nut huggers get all lathered up just knowing this will have some impact on the aid. So it actually will have an impact. A positive one. Because this us what dealing with corruption properly actually looks like. It’s a very good thing these individuals were fired or forced to resign and illustrates Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to root out corruption. And they’ve still got a long way to go.
Eh I’d guess when it finally falls out the new equipment will go to the US as remans come out of depot after refresh from deployment. This isn’t an FMS contract after all this is the DoD dispositioning its own assets.Nope, we're sending them brand new $7mil per tanks. Gotta keep the old stuff for our guys.
But one would think with the Marines pulling the M1 out of it's arsenal there would be some slightly used and paid for tanks sitting around.
Lol. I’d guess your scheme is what Putin would play if he ever wanted to act like he cared about corruption. One of these asshats was driving around in a new mid tier PorscheMy guess is it's all a show to keep the real players insulated. Or they weren't kicking up enough to the bosses, lucky they weren't clipped.
