Life is of no value vis-a-vis Mother Russia and women are simply there to make Russian soldiers for the meat grinder.

Baffling that Ukraine wants to align itself with Europe instead of Russia.

Russia is more civilized than we are right now. WTF are you talking about? They don't have 50 genders, actually have a real economy based on energy, mining, industry and agriculture instead of Facebook and Starbucks. And the 1990s and the raping of Russia by Wall St and western influences created the conditions that gave us Putin.... in the same way the Treaty of Versailles gave us Hitler.

Saw this morning that Kadyrov plans to get into the PMC game and start his own. First piece of the puzzle for a new Chechen independence movement if he feels like Moscow's time has come.

They never intended on taking Kyiv. They were clearly pushing to get Zelensky to the negotiating table and to pin down troops around Kyiv to keep them away from Donbas. Both objectives worked. Zelensky was close to accepting an agreement near the end of March and Russia pulled out of Kyiv.

Then Boris Johnson flew in and the rest is history.

They also have a very storied space program with maybe the most dependable rocket family in history (at least pre SpaceX). And they have an enviable record in the arts, especially music and literature. Unfortunately they are also cursed with a succession of brutal amoral strong men rulers. From Ivan the Terrible through the Czars, Stalin, and now Putin. Most of them have shown a disturbing tendency to invade their neighbors and brutalize their own people. It is one of history’s greatest tragedies that such a vibrant and talented people keep rolling snake eyes when getting a leader.
