War in Ukraine

They also had millions of traumatized men and women with revenge on their minds, motivated to capture Berlin at all costs.

Now they have a bunch of people fleeing to avoid serving.
One of the lesser discussed Russian problems, going forward, is the brain drain that has forever fled.

How long will this hold true once Western influences get a hold of things? Especially if Biden Family maintains influence.

Why Is The Left Ignoring Ukrainian Gun Rights? | ZeroHedge

Ukraine is calling on its citizens to join the fight against Russia, and its military says all they need is ID

So when it is convenient, these guys are all for arming the citizens and use of IDs.

Gun confiscation??? LOL... that was quick.

I’ve read it dude. Here give this a read. It’s by a Ukrainian international law scholar that practices in both Kyiv and the US. He isn’t a Homer his conclusion is that it’s purposely ambiguous so that each country can get what they want. He actually lists very damning wording differences I’ll submit. Our copy says security assurances. The Ukrainian and Russian version says security guarantees. That’s purposeful deception and feckless if it’s accurate and I haven’t found anything saying it isnt.

Constructive Ambiguity of the Budapest Memorandum at 28: Making Sense of the Controversial Agreement

Exactamudo. Just the way the pols like it when things may go south. Not exactly ironclad.

The USSR dissolved..and were brain drained..so much so that people live in fear of their over encompassing territorial ambitions that have scored Sweden and Finland to join NATO that didnt even happen during the hight of the CW.
A NATO that has not committed to their own obligated self own defense commitments .
And now need Daddy Sugar USA. Socialism sucks.

I realize you’ve bought into that thinking. I do not however. I did indeed put the alternate Ukrainian word the author offered into Google Translate and it came back as “assurances”. I assumed the Russian word did also but admittedly didn’t test it

How is this different than some Paris Accord on CC?

Translations? That is piss poor documentation of treaty or any agreement as a US citizen.
Well those differences explain why Ukraine bitches that we didn’t live up to our “guarantees” while we claim our “assurances” are not defined. Again we won’t agree. And I’m heading to XBox now so my attention is going to drop off

How do you negotiate with someone that's calling you a Nazi, that doesn't acknowledge your history and statehood, that is murdering your countrymen daily, and is wanting to take your homeland away from you?
Why is any of that (if true) an American problem?

"Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang drew comparisons on March 7 between hypothetical Chinese military aid for Russia to U.S. weapons sales to Taiwan, CNN reported on March 7.

“Why does the US ask China not to provide weapons to Russia while it keeps selling arms to Taiwan?” the minister, as quoted by CNN, asked during a news conference.

Really gonna go there China?

How about stop rationalizing Russia's invasion and recognize that if you invade Taiwan, you'll end up in the same boat as Russia.
