Oh I’d guess they can protect themselves. Plus prior to the bald dwarf’s folly the US maintained a fairly permanent naval presence in the Black Sea. That ended on Dec 2021 and I see no reason why it needed to end they are hanging around outside the Bosphorus anyway.

Plus that puts our SM-3 equipped destroyers that much closer to shoot down those ICBMs you’re so worried about. And I absolutely believe if we detect an ICBM response we’d shoot it down first and figure out how to deal with Russia stomping their foot and holding their breath later.

The Kaiser did all of that too. The Kaiser was trying to rebuild the HRE, unifying "Germanic peoples". Used nationalist pride to get the various Germanic states to unify into the empire. Tearing up old treaties that decentralized Germany into the various princedoms, typically Napeolonic. The Kaiser was also a Constutional monarch backed by a "democracy".

Hitler came to power after a violent civil war, Putins rise was peaceful.

Hitler was in power for 12ish years.
Putin has been in power for 24 years.
The Kaiser was in power for 30 years.

Believe me, we havent seen Hitler reborn yet.

I won’t pretend to be an expert on Kaiser Wilhelm II, but my impression of him is far more among the lines of a weak, bumbling leader who was basically on the sidelines during the war and never would have been near power if it wasn’t handed to him by birth.

And though Putin’s rise to power may not be the exact same scenario as Hitler’s rise, they both benefitted heavily from the economic issues and grievances that preceded them.

So I'm just now getting home. WTF did I just hear Lindsey Graham say? Ronald Reagan would have shot down a Russian jet if this would happened on his watch? Really? Did Reagan shoot down any Russian jets when Larry McDonald's plane was shot down? What did the US do when Gary Powers U-2 plane was shot down? USS Liberty?

Any of you clowns going along with this rhetoric need to get you heads examined.

How many times have I claimed that Zelensky is literally Hitler? Zero, because it is idiotic. How many times have I pointed out that Ukraine has a problematic number of Nazi sympathizers in their ranks? A few.

BTW @hog88 you don’t need to worry about this. I meant to post it back earlier after tugging at your leash but got distracted. Due to whatever the hell the name of that treaty is that was signed before WW2 about the only effective combat ship that meets the displacement limitations on non Black Sea bordering states warships that we have is probably an Arleigh Burke class destroyer. But that’s ok they can carry SM-3 anti ICBM missiles 😎
