again assuming they are true, Putin would be declaring on the entire US not just one side. And two it shows that Biden has been lying to us about our involvement.
this shouldn't be a left vs right issue. This should be a bad government vs a whistle blower issue. attacking the whistler blower is just a distraction from the real issue. boots on the ground. possibly dying.

Edit: I really doubt we have soldiers in harms way in Ukraine. Directing some operations from a basement in Kyiv? Very likely.

I agree. I know there are American volunteers there, and some advisors. I also know the USA is constantly involved in covert military (Black ops) adventures all across the globe. Including destabilizing regions whose leaders or influential individuals are detrimental to our preferred policies and outcomes there. We've been doing this since colonial times against the Native Americans, then Hispanic countries south of us, in Asia, Africa, and elsewhere. Not always successful, but attempted just the same. We simply aren't the faultless good guys we imagine ourselves being.

An increasingly paranoid Putin is allowing beheadings from his ranks. I don't think it would happen but I'm not sure I agree Putin has to be stupid to do it. Paranoia and desperation had people do crazy things.

Edit to add: and for the record I don't believe our troops on the ground were in the embassy until they were outed and we had to publicly admit they were in country.

I mean if Russia wants to argue the reason it hasn't defeated Ukraine is less than 100 NATO special forces guys, they can go ahead and cry foul. thats way too few to have an impact on the war overall, or most of these battles.

You'd be surprised. They did try 1-2 weeks ago try to ram one of our warship. They wrecked a Reaper drone. Never underestimate human stupidity.

I agree. The Russians have already embarrassed themselves enough at this point. A couple dozen SAS guys and a few Green Beret and Delta guys shouldn’t be able to deter the mighty Russian Army. If the Russians want to cry foul we could remind them that we aren’t flying our guys in combat missions like they did in Korea and Vietnam.
