War in Ukraine

Probably got frustrated with the Ukrainiacs. I don't blame him. I dropped out for a while in here.

Exactly. They just circle jerk western propaganda. It's boring. Thats ok, its fun to poke back in and take victory laps from time to time. 7:1 Ukraine:Russia kill ratio? Goodness. And they will be out of air defenses by May possibly?

Russia is efficiently demilitarizing and denatzifying Ukraine.

Why did he wait for Trump to be out of office to attack Ukraine? The limp wristed Obama camp and the brain damaged Biden camp seemed to be okay, but they didn't do anything under Trump?

He didn't "wait for Trump to be out of office". Russia invaded Crimea, and eastern Ukraine in 2014.

Trump being in office from 2017-2021 didn't cause Putin to remove troops from Ukraine, or cease the planning of the escalation of 2022.

The only thing that slowed Putin down were some of the sanctions put in place from 2014 onward, and they weren't enough to stop him, just delay given the amount of money Russia was making from selling gas and oil to the EU.

Busy day, haven't really watched news. Has it been confirmed that we have boots on the ground in Ukraine? That would seem like a very big story.

I haven’t seen a formal acknowledgement from the admin that they are there but there is a lot of discussion that they are operating out of the Kiev embassy

You've answered your own question. The Euros need to take care of Europe. It's not a damned if you do/damned if you don't dilemma. It is pretty straight forward.

That worked so well in the later half of the 1930s. Lot of people believed in isolationism then and let Europeans be Europeans ... and that was before nukes and intercontinental weapons capability.

Just like Bakhmut was going to fall in September 2022....

Trying to defend? I think even you guys should be able to admit that holding the town for 8 months against continuous Russian attacks counts as more than just "trying".

Stalingrad was less than 6 months.

Yes, trying to defend as they have slowly lost control of it. As I have said, when you are getting the high kill ratio's that favor Russia, Russia is happy to sit back and wait if Zelensky wants to keep feeding men into their meat grinder. Demilitarization was one of the key goals of Putin and he is achieving that goal in spades.

For the record my opinions are neutral.

I think Russia needs to be pushed back, but I also think this is a strain on the US considering what The Weekend at Bernies stand-in has done to our economic standing. Something tells me there is a long game approach being played here by our adversaries. The US is providing much of the assistance to Ukraine while the countries that are most impacted by Russia's invasion are providing peanuts. I think other adversaries are gearing up for conflict while the decision makers over here has no idea what to do. They are too busy trying to figure out how to make the military more Woke and catering to transgenders.

You can't be serious! Even you don't believe he's been successful in that regard. Ukraine has never been more militarized and will be that way for decades to come. Please take off the clown wig and have honest dialogue.

Ukraine is not only losing men at a high rate but they are losing equipment at an even higher rate. The West cant keep up supplies, as evidenced by the fact Ukraine's air defense is about gone. Now, they will receive more from the West but no one knows when. They have burned through not only their equipment but a good portion of NATO stockpile. To act like this isnt a huge win for Putin is ridiculous.

Ukraine is losing the capacity to wage war, which is why you see such lopsided casualty figures and they continue to get worse for Ukraine as the war continues.

I refuse to believe that anyone is this stupid. Western munitions are pouring into Ukraine at a speed that would make the guys heading Operation Fast and Furious blush.

@Rasputin_Vol must keep you around to make his stupid takes on this war look sane by comparison.
