I'm not anti-war. I'm anti-stupidity. I believe in peace through strength (this was corrected). That's not going to happen with this clown show administration. The enemy smells estrogen and see bozos.

There is another major problem brewing that has the potential to be much bigger but notice all the left is hanging out in this thread. That's by design.

"Strength through peace." Hmmm: Strength through allowing our chief adversary, the West's chief adversary, to invade and take over a sovereign
country--destroying cities, killing thousands of civilians, stealing children and committing many other atrocities? You should familiarize yourself with the name Neville Chamberlain...You also seem to have missed the fact that the all of Europe save one country, plus Canada, Australia, Japan, others have rallied together to support Ukraine. I'm trying to decide if the governments of ALL those countries understand the stakes in this conflict or whether you have a better handle on the situation and should straighten them out.....

You seem to be missing a very salient point here: Ukraine is fighting for itself. They're defending their territory--as any nation would. Your notion that they are only fighting because the U.S. wants them to fight is laughable--sheer lunacy. I'm not sure where you pick up your ideas....

Now you've done it. Ras will be here with a "Not another Neville Chamberlain" lecture. A lot of the time you just have to mention Europe and the 30s to trigger it. In any case you are right; hiding in the closet or any other kind of isolationism isn't going to work these days. The old "beware of foreign entanglements" was solid reasoning ... when ships were made of wood and used sails for propulsion.

Neville Chamberlain is sitting in the White House. It's my contention if Trump was there then Russia doesn't invade.

Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, and did not cease that invasion during the time that Trump was in office.

The only thing that slowed them down were the sanctions. That were Putin place in 2014/2015, and those were not enough as long as the EU was sucking down oil and gas from Russia.

It's going to take a change of administration before that's officially announced. Maybe even a few more years until some people think everybody else believes they were never proponents of globalism and trade with China. Kinda hurts feelings when they realize they've been used, and only gets marginally better when they can slink away from their actions. China has been screwing people over for centuries and every new crop of "diplomats" and political business "leaders" will believe they know better ... until they don't.

That is not true, They are clearly fighting to advance a Western narrative, and ideology. Had it not been for the US State Department, Russians and Ukrainians wouldn't be fighting each other. They also can't discuss peace without making their western sponsors angry.

Trump wouldn't have done $hit if Putin had wanted to invade Ukraine while he was stinking up the White House. He loves Putin--our chief adversary. Praises him all the time--which seems treasonous to me. Praises Kim Jong-un of North Korea--and Xi. Rather curious, eh? What's it about? Poor Donnie: wants to be America's Stalin--but won't be. Trump took 5 deferments from military service by claiming, fraudulently, that he had bad feet. Yea, Private Bone Spurs is a real "bad muthafook." What a laugh. He's a corrupt real estate developer with a dentures and a spray tan who hasn't built anything in 25 years because nobody will do business with him. Trump stood up at a press conference in Helsinki and claimed that Putin didn't interfere in the '16 election when our intelligence services had it very clear to him that he did. It was shocking to everybody. Putin wanted to weaken NATO. So did his would-be gay lover, Trump. It's now stronger than it's ever been--thanks to Biden and the EU. Major win. Russia has been taken down a couple of notches by the West since the invasion. Another major win. Sorry about that....

Russia has been arming and supporting separatists in the Donbas for years. The Donbas is in Ukraine. Remind us again who invaded and stole Crimea from Ukraine. Wait, I remember: Russia. Putin. Crimea is part of Ukraine--or was. By my reckoning--and that of anybody with basic reasoning skills-- that would make Russia a very serious and dangerous belligerent. You realize that those same separatists--using a Russian anti-aircraft missile system--shot down a Malaysian Airlines flight, killing all passengers and crew, 298 people?
