War in Ukraine

Russia offered Ukraine a generous deal early in this conflict and they opted to fight instead, so no, Russia isn't going to offer them another generous offer. That time was come and gone.

What 'generous offer' are you referring to? You mean some laughable offer?

There’s a myth that Russia and Ukraine were about to agree to a peace deal and Boris Johnson blew it up for some reason. Despite the fact that it’s obviously not true, it is a popular story in pro Russian circles. Russia was obviously never interested in peace, only annexation.

A myth? So pathetic.

It wasnt a myth, and it wasnt the only time early in the war Ukraine was offered a peace deal. Ukraine rejected multiple offers of peace.

I think once all is said and done with the Ukraine/Russia war that we'll find the truth about Bhakmut... that Russia sent huge numbers of criminal mobiks plus some of its best troops against a UAF comprised largely of Territorial Defense troops.

Meanwhile while the Russians slowly ground a few inches in progress, the Ukrainians were holding back and training literally tens of thousands of troops - including some of its best in western gear and methods - for the upcoming offensive that will break the back of the Russians.

Those who fought and died in Bhakmut did so to buy time and hammer away at the Russians - who likely died at a ratio of four or five for every one dead Ukrainian.

By the end of this year, I truly believe the war will end. Not because Ukraine was able to retake all of its territory, but because the will of the Russians will be broken. In some way, shape or form, Putin will lose his grip on his autocracy and it will all come tumbling down.

Capitulate or die.

Even if you don't respect Ukraine or don't think we should be helping you have to tip your cap to them for fighting and dying for their homeland and not asking for Americans to do it for them.

I'd say the vast majority of Americans didn't know the first thing about Ukraine when Russian began its invasion--and still don't know much about it. But everyone was seen what proud, tough, intelligent, capable people they are. And just about every man in that country has fought or is fighting--and, unlike Russia, Ukraine has lost a lot of its best and brightest people. Many of Russia's brightest people just left the country when the war began. And I doubt many of them will return unless there is major change in that country.

They have asked the West to put boots on the ground.

Total BS.
🤡 🤡 🤡

Those leaving the country include tech workers, scientists, bankers and doctors, according to surveys, economists and interviews with emigrants. They are departing for countries including Georgia, Armenia and Turkey.

Fleeing Putin, Thousands of Educated Russians Are Moving Abroad

GDANSK, Poland, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Russian IT professionals are moving abroad en masse to avoid military mobilisation, industry leaders have warned, despite official assurances that key technology workers will not be called up to fight in Ukraine.

Russia's 'second wave' of migration
Vladimir, whose surname has been removed due to the sensitive nature of the situation, is part of what he considers Russia's "second wave" of migration following the war. This includes those who took longer to prepare to leave the country — such as people with businesses or families who wanted to let their children finish the school year before leaving.

A second wave of Russians is fleeing Putin's regime

I will enjoy watching you eat crow when UAF's upcoming offensive drives your Russian buddies into the Sea of Azov.
It's telling that Kyiv and not Moscow is going to decide where and when the next battles will take place. It strongly indicates that Russia has lost the initiative in this war. With all the new weapons, equipment and training the UAF has undergone this coming offensive may make the last one look like a Cub Scout meeting.

Defending takes less men and materials than attacking, and Ukraine has kept Russia burning men and materials in Bakhmut for 9 months while Ukrainian troops have been sent to train in NATO countries.

It's just a matter of time.

Yeah, but in 7 months it’ll be winter again and then, by God, Russia is going to whip Ukraine’s ass.

When Russia is killing 7 Ukes for every Russian, you're right, with those kill ratios it is just matter of time. Only to make matters worse the West is running out of ammo and equipment to give. From bad to dire.

Lol, you've nothing that supports your fantasy of a 7:1 k/d ratio from Russians using human wave formations to assault prepared Ukrainian defensive positions.

The problem is that they are not dying for themselves or "freedom and democracy", they are dying for an American political agenda.

Hey Raz, they're saying first group of Abrams will be combat deployed by mid-summer.

I haven't been this excited since I met Marilyn Chambers.

Want to bet some barbecue on their kill ration versus the Russians?

Come to think about it, BBQ may have been a poor choice.
