its an "and" situation rather than an "or".So now the narrative is that they are not only running out of shells, but running out of tanks?
you mean the same way the R's pretend to be fiscally conservatives during a D presidency but don't have a problem with spending, like under Trump....Not mine. I remember when you dems tried to play like you were fiscally conservative during Trumps 4 years, it was cute but all knew it was fake
Many people like myself didn’t like the budgets but accepted it to get the military spending.you mean the same way the R's pretend to be fiscally conservatives during a D presidency but don't have a problem with spending, like under Trump....
two sides of the same coin.
As a country we need to stop blindly supporting crazy defense spending. We aren’t getting good ROI on our tax dollars. Hey I made a living on that spending and I still say it’s too much. Many people like myself didn’t like the budgets but accepted it to get the military spending.
The same budget that is providing the weapons used in this war and people that complained about the deficit spending applaud these weapon transfers
Actual procurement is what $150B? So yea we need better efficiency on The procurement side but what to do about other costs? As a country we need to stop blindly supporting crazy defense spending. We need major defense spending and systems procurement reform. We can get the same level of capability we’re getting today by spending less. We have to decouple the cozy relationship of the defense industry from their government oversight just as Eisenhower warned to do and force efficiency improvements in the contractors.
Oh I think you can cut development costs too. Im not aware of any other industry that is paid to be inefficient. Imagine buying your car three years before you actually take possession and oh by the way they want another 25% on delivery due to unforeseen design and build complicationsActual procurement is what $150B?
