War in Ukraine

Sounds about right

According to the FBI source who reported President Biden’s alleged role in a bribery scheme, a Ukrainian businessman claimed to keep as “insurance” 15 audio recordings of first son Hunter Biden and two of Joe Biden.

Question: Why would a foreign national businessman - whom the FBI has absolutely no jurisdiction or control over - why would this guy spill the beans to the FBI? I mean, seems to me that if he *actually* had leverage over the Bidens, why would he voluntarily tell a 3rd party LEO from another country... how, exactly, does that benefit the Ukrainian businessman?

If anything, by telling the Feds he "bribed" the Bidens, the Ukrainian put a huge target on his own head. Given the implications of a situation where the President of the United States has been implicated of accepting bribes from some dude in another country, wouldn't our FBI (and possibly other agencies) have the *obligation* to investigate these charges and determine their validity? This would only result in the Ukrainian's life getting much worse, not better.

Further, if the allegation were true, wouldn't the Ukrainian be in danger of being killed by the big, bad, evil Biden family, since if such a revelation ever actually came to light, both Bidens would likely going to prison, right? I mean, if the Bidens got millions and millions of dollars, and they had already crossed over to the dark side, why *wouldn't* they hire a 3rd party hitman to have the Ukrainian disappear?

So, in short, I'm calling bullsh*t simply based on the fact that the merits of this case make zero sense.

And, oh by the way, this issue was ALREADY INVESTIGATED and found to be bullsh*t.

Per NBC News - citing a senior law enforcement source - the FBI and a U.S. attorney appointed by former President Donald Trump had reviewed the allegations against the Bidens in 2020, but had found the claims to be unsubstantiated.

Ahhh... ye ol' conspiracy theory fallback. A fan favorite amongst the Q nut jobs and far-right wingers.

When facts don't fit your whims, just plug in an alternate reality of your choice.

Heh. Oh this should be good.

Kindly present the "facts" proving our President accepted bribes. Please include actual links to such "evidence", not some mindless, rhetorical drivel on your part.

I thought the previous argument with the Biden payments was there was no quid pro quo, so it didn't matter if there were payments.

also the Ukrainian is probably living in a country at war with a threat of dying or suffering some pretty negative consequences is already pretty high. so potentially getting the FBI to come after you is probably a lot less scary than it otherwise would be.

What "Biden payments" are you referring to?

When he with held a billion dollars from Ukraine until they fired the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma for corruption was fired. The same Burisma that paid Hunter to be on their board of directors, for some reason. They also fired at least one but maybe two more prosecutors after that, until the case was finally dropped. And then it just so happened that the billion dollars were cleared.

it was argued it wasn't quid pro quo because Joe Biden didn't benefit from it himself at the time and when Trump brought it up. also that the prosecutor was fired for being ineffective, but it doesn't mention that the prosecutor they finally approved was just as ineffective.... it was all just happy circumstances that the payments didn't clear until after the case was dropped, even though *wink wink* that wasn't what they actually wanted when they withheld the money.

Got it. Just clarifying that you're not suggesting Joe Biden received any bribes.

As president, I haven't seen anything. VP on the other hand?

You do know the FBI verified Hunter's laptop and confirmed that it hadn't been tampered with in any way, right?

the same laptop with the emails discussing Hunter granting access to Joe for a price, as the VP, and needing 10% for the Big Guy.

You assume he shared it and you assume Joe knew about it. Not that Hunter was lying out his arse.

right, and why would this multi billion dollar Ukrainian company invest in Hunter if they weren't getting something out of it? Like lets say an investigation into corruption dropped.

*oh yeah I forgot the other part of the defense. It was also ok because the investigation that was dropped wasn't specifically looking into Hunter Biden's role on the board*

I just wish the same scrutiny that went into the Ivanka's Chinese hand bag deal was turned on the Biden's and Burisma. The cases are strikingly similar.

and oh yeah, who can forget the Obama White House keeping incomplete visitor logs, excluding known lobbyists.

Been plenty of testimony. 10% for the big guy

Oh, dear. Sorry to break this to you, but it seems this ain't what happened.

Per wiki:

"Despite persistent allegations that the laptop contents indicated corruption by Joe Biden, a joint investigation by two Republican Senate committees released in September 2020 did not find wrongdoing by him, nor did a Republican House Oversight committee investigation by July 2023."

Ok, so nothing. Gotcha.

This was a clear foreign policy goal that had nothing to do with his deadbeat son. There’s a reason the EU and IMF were behind it and Biden bragged about it publicly.

And to think the dems didn't even impeach anybody in the obama/biden circus for withholding congressionally allocated funds for Ukraine.

So in the real world of security and security clearances, Hunter's actions would have caused biden's security clearance (if they ever bothered to issue one) to be yanked. That's one of the basics - what risk do close relatives pose, and hunter is a big risk. Congressional kids pose the same risks, and it's been documented that several play the same influence game.

And it really doesn't matter if biden knew because the assumption is (and history proves it) that joe would do what it takes to cover for hunter.

All very true. The family is compromised.
