War in Ukraine

ENOUGH with this. I’m so sick of this idea that Ukrainians are fighting Russia against their will on our behalf. I do not understand how people keep lapping that up.
One of my favorite things in this thread is seeing people get indignant about how others post and fall for obvious propaganda and then post something so patently stupid and obvious propaganda like anybody is forcing Ukraine to defend their homeland 🤣

Let's run with that. Then is it realistic to assert that Russia will take over Europe?

You can't have it both ways. You can't say Russia is getting their azzes kicked in Ukraine and simultaneously say Russia is going to take over Europe.

Who has said that Russia is going to take over Europe, besides the Russians themselves?

Don't put those Challenger tanks in a "risky" situation. They might break a finger nail... WTF???

Ukrainian Armed Forces Face Difficulties With Challenger 2 Tanks Amid UK Demands

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have encountered difficulties in using Challenger 2 tanks because of London's requirements for their operation and maintenance, according to military analyst Drago Bosnic.

He also highlighted that the British command is now seeking assurances from Kiev that no British-supplied Challenger 2s will be used in risky operations, lest they be destroyed or captured by the Russian military.

"This includes special requests for storage to prevent long-range strikes, which effectively makes the 'Challenger 2' the most pampered weapon system in the conflict," Drago Bosnic said.
Reports are that a 2nd Challenger tank has been taken out and possibly there could be another 4 Challengers that could be soon taken out in the next few days...

Holy cow that’s a whole lot of copium in one post. There’s a definite maybe chance that the orcs will encounter more Challengers in the coming days and if they do they might take them out 😂🤡

I never said that. But they have people dodging conscripion, bribing out of it, leaving the country, etc. I'm sick of people acting like every Ukrainian is itching to go to war and get their head blown off. Newsflash a lot of them don't. "War is young men dying and old men talking". Never changes.

Lol, you literally accused the US of "installing the government" and the Ukrainian government of "pushing this war"...

So do please tell us all how the US installed Zelensky as president, and how Zelensky's government "pushed for a war" that began with Russia's invasion in 2014, 5 years before he was even elected.

So you've accurately described every side of every conflict on earth dating back to pre history.... Is there supposed to be a point or did you just start to call it out with this conflict?

Hmmm... GTFO of Russia + $2M + any NATO country.

Not sure how any RUS pilot could actually pull this off without getting busted, but dang, it's worth a try.

We helped push out the old regime in 2014 and installed who we wanted. Not specifically Zelensky, but we successfully interfered in 2014. You seem to be a big fan boy of Zelensky though sorry for hurting your feelings.

This ill conceived diatribe again. So Yanukovych signed the agreement reliving him of his duties and then fled in the night to Russia where he lives today on his own. He fled as the Ukrainian parliament acted within their constitutional powers and removed him. They did this due to his radical about face pivot to Russia after campaigning on moving Ukraine closer to the west. No the US didn’t have him removed. At all. That’s not to say they weren’t happy to see him go but their happiness isn’t in any way proof of their complicity in the matter.

I just remember reading stuff like this in 2016-2019 saying differently.

Amazing that you would pick the opportunity to be an egalitarian when the subject of the draft/war comes up.

Nope. Equal application of equality is simply a non-negotiable thing with me. You lobby for and get "equality", you own it the good and the bad. No different from racial equality; I'm dead set and always have been on quotas and any other form of reverse discrimination. Your name is Barbie and you want to be just like Joe, then you get treated just like Joe.

Yep. We weren’t a fan and weren’t unhappy to see him go. Now google the Ukrainian parliamentary vote to remove him and hold elections for his replacement. I’d really like to think we are capable of A) rigging a huge majority vote as resulted in Yanukovych’s removal and B) rig the follow on election to install our puppet. You can’t have it both ways with us being incompetent and then pulling off a coup like that.

The IMF played hardball on lending terms to Ukraine which even the EU found harsh. Yanukovych leaned to Putin who responded by saying end all movement to Europe and trade only with us. Yanukovych agreed and it got him removed by his own people. End of story.

You don't have to like war. Who does? America doesn't give a **** but everyone roots for the underdog with no skin in the game. Doesn't hurt that Russia is a long time enemy/rival of the US and they have been on a decades long slow war/insurgency campaign against it's former satellites that look elsewhere for economic prosperity and annex it's neighbors land.

If you're riding for side here it's hard for me to root for Russia. I Ukraine can inflict enough pain that Russia decides it's not in it's best interest to continue great. If that doesn't happen and Ukraine capitulates when it's ready they've at least inflicted great pain and set Russia back a decade or more economically and military.

When women were locked out of combat roles people could still mount a weak argument to exclude women from the draft. However now that women are eligible for combat roles it’s an outdated argument. Selective service registration for all legal age young adults.

The only thing that hurts my feelings is you being this ignorant of history, and still trying to argue a point that has no basis in reality; quite painful to watch.

Zelensky was elected on 2019.

5 years after Russia began the invasion.

Please, tell me how the US is responsible for the Ukrainian people having enough of Yanukovych's nonsense, and then him absconding to Russia?

Be specific.

That is good to hear. Sounds like you have this all figured out on the level of us individuals... now do you believe in the same equal consequences for states/countries that are ill-behaved?

Read the article I linked. If you don't think we interfered you're the ignorant one.
