You wouldn't be implying that the Chechens are only working with Putin because Putin bought off Ramzan would you? Who then cooperated in the murder of his dad so that Ramzan would take over, and completely changed the local stance on being part of Russia.

Decent people would wish for him to die slowly and painfully. And then linger for a while on the threshold of death so that his loved ones have to hang around, miss work and generally be inconvenienced.
