article wouldn't work for me. But I have a feeling I am against this. If Romania is just enforcing this no-fly zone over its own territory, thats one thing. If it is enforcing it over anybody else's territory or out into international waters, then I am against it. I get wanting to protect your territory from indirect damage, but getting directly involved in an active warzone is NOT the way to go about it.

only slight mitigation would be is if it was a true no fly zone and even Ukrainian stuff wasn't allowed.

depends on what you mean by failure, but I definitely agree on the waste of our money.

just because the victim is just as corrupt as the attacker, it doesn't make the victim the bad guy, or the attacker the good guy. It is possible to separate various subject matters from each other when evaluating a situation. It is also possible to favor one side while also not supporting our actions in favor of that side. Too many people want this to be a black and white affair.

and just because Russia is able to outproduce the west on a specific weapon, and able to increase its own production doesn't mean it is meeting its own demand. If they were meeting their own demand they wouldn't have had to up production.

It could also very easily be a rob Peter to pay Paul situation.

Stalin was born in 1878, Georgia was part of the Russian Empire. He never once supported an independent Georgia, and did nothing to improve the lot of Georgians when he was in power. In fact he argued with Lenin against how much autonomy was to be given to any of the non-ethnic Russian areas, saying it was better for them to serve Russia than to be free.
