War in Ukraine

Hey @Rasputin_Vol, just so your lads know, this is what it looks like when you target a military target. Those places with swings, seesaws, and merry-go-rounds are called playgrounds. They're for kids. You may wanna tell your lads those are not military targets. They seem to struggle with that at times.

Then why was there this hand wringing before recently from Pashinyan about Russia not assisting them enough in the conflict?

Something has happened recently to cause Pashinyan to pivot so suddenly. Turning away from the CSTO and turning to America for military... possible promise of EU membership?

In 2020 Azerbaijan if I’m not mistaken actually attacked Armenia itself and took Armenian territory. That’s when he asked for CSTO intervention and nothing happened.

Is this supposed to be ridiculing the Russians? That they are (allegedly) bringing out old tanks and yet gaining ground on the NATO armed and trained Ukrainians?

What does that say about NATO weapons?

You want to answer your own question @Rasputin_Vol ?

IIRC Russia gave some lame butt excuse that because it wasn't the Nagorno region they weren't obligated to help Armenia. Even though the CSTO was supposed to be with Armenia and not just their exclave.

I have always wondered why Armenia didn't put more pressure on the Abjazkian exclave between them and Turkey.

According to wiki the 2020 ceasefire agreement called for Russian peacekeepers to be there five years. Not sure how long they were there, if ever.

Republicans erupt after Pentagon Exempts Ukraine Aid from potential US government shutdown: 'Says it all'

Republicans blast 'incredibly offensive' DOD plan to continue supporting Ukraine military if Congress can't reach deal

Republicans are voicing outrage after the Pentagon confirmed it would shield its operations to support the war in Ukraine from any potential U.S. government shutdown.

As the Sept. 30 deadline looms for lawmakers to reach a deal on funding the government, the Department of Defense (DOD) said its activities in support of Ukraine’s military would be exempt from any potential shutdown.

Yeah that’s a pretty stupid thing for the WH to try if the claim is accurate.

This is disgusting. I know that’s not witty. But I have an 81 year old father , served his country with distinction. And 40 % of his monthly income is SS. This has Lindsey Grahams fingerprints all over it. People will glue their feet to a Starbucks over paying more for almond milk. No one will raise a stink about this. Why are Republicans and conservatives incapable of taking to the streets?

War Hawk Nikki Haley Calls Trump Weak On Ukraine

Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley, a staunch supporter of providing U.S. aid to Ukraine, criticized former President Donald Trump on the campaign trail, asserting he is “weak in the knees when it comes to Ukraine.”

Speaking at an event in New Hampshire, where she has surpassed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in some surveys, Haley attempted to tread lightly when it came to criticizing the former president.

She critiqued Trump not only on fiscal policy but also on his position on Ukraine, asserting that, “He used to be good on foreign policy and now he has started to walk it back and get weak in the knees when it comes to Ukraine.”
