War in Ukraine

Later, videos of loud explosions and large-scale fires appeared online from local residents who reported that an ammunition depot had been attacked. The local authorities reported that the fire started "as a result of the fall of the UAV debris."
Sure Jan.

If this is accurate, 612,390 is an incredible number of troops lost. For comparison, the US reports losing 58,220 troops in Vietnam from 1955-1975 and our country went ape shattering crazy. Hard to envision all those Russian mothers and fathers being ok with this.
I don't think that number is strictly KIA's and is probably inflated, but your point still remains.

Russia lost 20-30 million between military and civilians directly or indirectly associated with WWII. They simply aren't going to allow that to happen again. These kinds of posts have been made for years out here. The war machine is most likely just getting started. I would welcome you to do a search were I posted the Congressional Record from the 90s where they speak of the military warning them of the outcome of their plans.

If America allows missles to be hit deep in Russia, what would Russia response be?

Give U.S. and European enemies the same or more ability with no real way of responding to the threats. Even Russia's smaller units can hit the U.S. from the middle east which are mobile, let alone Europe. Further, complete shutdown in the Red Sea, if they wished it.

The bigger issue is neither side can tell what the payload is, so the United States will have to assume its nuclear.... which is what Russia is trying to avoid.

America is losing the battle of the Red Sea

Its hard to imagine what easily can be done in the Red Sea for example, as I mentioned a long time ago.

Russian junk has been used to shoot at us for years now by various countries. What goes around, comes around.

By the imaginary rules that @dalton_vol is dreaming up, we should have nuked the Soviet Union during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Sure they killed a US pilot. They opposed us in Vietnam and Korea. We helped the Afghans during their war against them. They have opposed us at every turn, and we have have done the same. This has been the case since WWII. No one should whine, much less Russia, about US weapons now being used against them. Par for the course.

Really? Imaginary? Maybe you shouldn't be such an insecure schill for Ukraine and not assuming. I'm asking a legit qstion.

All's fair, the issue is when you have missiles coming down in the U.S. or blowing up nuclear ships. This seems very similar to ignoring the warning of the 90s that the U.S. military was giving (see Congressional Record) as to the present situation in the Ukraine. Its more akin to avoiding nuclear war.

Soviet pilots flew MiGs in Korea and Soviet soldiers manned SAM sites in Vietnam and both shot down US pilots.

Giving Ukraine weapons, isn't even on the same continent as as having Soviet soldiers actually participate in the killing of US pilots.

It was never a mystery, we've known about this since Vietnam.

What would Russians response be? Maybe the same as ours as they've signaled bombing runs into our bases in Alaska before pulling off at the last minute.

Or selling arms to Iran and others that have been fired at our troops and allies. The response will likely be the same. If Russia is do worried about it they could always retreat back to their borders and insist Ukraine do the same.

I don't know what that means. Russia can give and train enemies of U.S. (which are everywhere now), those weapons there really isn't much of a defense for. This can be anything from ICBMs to anti-ship missiles and technology. These weapons can hit the U.S. from say the middle east. The biggest issue is the U.S. won't know if its carrying a nuclear payload.
