Russia is sending in the heavy hitters now. 203mm SPGs and TOS-1 thermobaric MLRS. Saboteurs have been going around Kyiv planting markers for artillery/rocket strikes.Market Garden would have worked had the bridges not been blown but Monty wasn’t the greatest tactician and neither was his predecessor Field Marshal Haig. Have not been impressed with Russian Army in the slightest. The pictures of out dated T-72’s with those goofy looking cages welded to the top to “prevent” Javelin missile attacks is akin to Toyota trucks in the Middle East with heavy machine guns mounted to their truck beds.
incorrect number spread from trumpets. FACT SHEET: U.S. Assistance to Ukraine
Germany may be open to SWIFT sanctions. This is pretty big stuff if Germany is serious. It's basically the nuclear option of financial sanctions, as it would cut off Russia from the global payment system. Other countries would have to pick up the LPG supply situation if they cut off Russia.
Speaking on Friday evening, Germany’s Finance Minister Christian Lindner said “we’re open” to the idea of cutting off Russia from SWIFT. “But one has to know what one is doing,” he cautioned, saying Europe needed to pose the question to itself whether the step may “prompt Russia to stop its gas deliveries, because they can’t be paid anymore.”
“And if those gas deliveries end, what will be the impact on our supplies?” he said.
I think one of the US military reactions needs to be to flood the Pacific and their nearby bases under the guise of deterrence of Russian aggression on that border. It will actually be to deter China from taking Taiwan. He has Xi to keep him company, feed his ego, and float him some cash while he's useful.
And I fully believe Xi is going to use Putin, if he isn't already, to distract from China's military takeover of Taiwan. Get everyone stuck in Eastern Europe and move while the board is relatively clear.
Like I posted above Lend Lease 2.0.I admire the Ukrainian fighting spirit. They're fighting hard for their homeland. They are a people that deserve to be helped. Not saying I want to see American boots on the ground. It's more a reflection of how we tend to deploy to countries that don't want to help themselves, like Afghanistan. Ukrainians have shown they are not afraid of the fight.
It’s striking that Putin’s personal finances are multilaterally now subject to sanction. That essentially means that the international community at large has officially ostracized him, akin to KJU. I don’t see any way that Putin can recover any diplomacy. He is permanently stained with irrationality IMO.
they clicked the first link on google and started adding numbers up to make a point. That's how brainwashed the people we are dealing with are. News outlits have stated Biden has asked for 650 mill. I can believe that.
