I admire the Ukrainian fighting spirit. They're fighting hard for their homeland. They are a people that deserve to be helped. Not saying I want to see American boots on the ground. It's more a reflection of how we tend to deploy to countries that don't want to help themselves, like Afghanistan. Ukrainians have shown they are not afraid of the fight.

Germany may be open to SWIFT sanctions. This is pretty big stuff if Germany is serious. It's basically the nuclear option of financial sanctions, as it would cut off Russia from the global payment system. Other countries would have to pick up the LPG supply situation if they cut off Russia.

Speaking on Friday evening, Germany’s Finance Minister Christian Lindner said “we’re open” to the idea of cutting off Russia from SWIFT. “But one has to know what one is doing,” he cautioned, saying Europe needed to pose the question to itself whether the step may “prompt Russia to stop its gas deliveries, because they can’t be paid anymore.”

“And if those gas deliveries end, what will be the impact on our supplies?” he said.

I think it’s funny to watch them rebuke the dictator while paying him for their energy . I have no sympathy for them .

And I fully believe Xi is going to use Putin, if he isn't already, to distract from China's military takeover of Taiwan. Get everyone stuck in Eastern Europe and move while the board is relatively clear.

I think one of the US military reactions needs to be to flood the Pacific and their nearby bases under the guise of deterrence of Russian aggression on that border. It will actually be to deter China from taking Taiwan.

Like I posted above Lend Lease 2.0.

We’ve got a bunch of ragged out Abrams, Bradleys, Apaches, and Blackhawks that will rotate back to depot for reman. Instead just fly them to Poland, instruct the Ukrainians on how to use them, throw them the keys and write them off. And then don’t replenish them just lower the levels since if Eastern Europe can rid the world of Putin we shouldn’t need them for a while.

Throw in a few hundred Hellfire, TOW, and Jsvelin missiles to boot.

Putin has to go now. He cast that die himself. And that’s the best ROI I can see for any money spent on anything right now outside our own borders.
