Because that’s the logical conclusion when you place 190,000 troops around a country you used to occupy after you’ve already invaded them and stole territory 6 years ago amirite?

Oh I’d guess everyone whom used to be a puppet and hasn’t joined NATO yet will be shoring up their admission applications shortly. In fact you might wonder down there road if this crushes Russia then everyone forms a Eurasian alliance against China.

The problem with China is that they own us and much of the world. They own a huge percentage of our debt and they manufacture a huge percentage of what we use in our daily lives. Not something we could reverse in a standoff with China. If the pandemic taught us anything is that we need to at least start to reverse that.

Catching up, it appears that Putin (and the rest of the world) drastically underestimated the resolve and capabilities of the Ukrainians.

I don't see any way that this ends well for Putin. If he backs down, he is a dead man walking. If he pushes on and the casualties mount, he might be overthrown.

He's in the proverbial "heads we win, tails you lose" scenario.

Kick them out of SWIFT program. That's the only sanction out there that has bite. It would decimate their oil industry since they couldn't export efficiently.

Just saw a former Assistant Commander of NATO say he didn't think the Russians could take the whole country, which would be a real problem for Putin since any unconquered territory could support guerrilla operations. Where is Charlie Wilson now?

Then his old boss, CINCNATO said he thought the Russian would accomplish it. That kind of uncertainty probably isn't helping Vlad's ulcer.
