The Korean and Vietnam wars were proxy wars, the Soviets used both as testing and training grounds they didn’t commit ground troops to direct combat with US forces. If we go into Ukraine we not only have to drive them out of the country we have to destroy them and remove Putin.

That is a part of the problem, but economically they were done years before the war. Germany was getting ready to exit stage left, and were getting with Russia. The neocons and the rest of the Europeans couldn't allow that to happen as the rest of Europe was relying on Germany. The neocons now have crushed Germany and they are now dependent just like the rest of them.

Ukraine will materially lose, next up on the chopping block is Europe. Nobody can stop it.

What has happened is simple, what comes next will be complex.... very hard to predict. If I were to guess, the Baltic states are in jeopardy from European attack.... however this is way to complex to accurately predict.
