War in Ukraine

so in any conflict where we don't provide these things we are killing people?
Hmmm… obviously we’re not killing people directly, but yes, our actions/inactions indirectly result in deaths worldwide. See USAID. Now plenty of kids in “shithole” countries will die from famine and/or lack of immunization.

The richest man on the planet ****s over the poorest. Thanks President Musk.

They're not even making sense in any way, they are calling it a "peace keeping force", well, you have to have peace first. And the Russians have repeatedly rejected this idea for years. Right now, the Ukraine has no cards to play with, the U.S. and Europeans really only have one card to play with.... removal of sanctions and return to normal relations.

Pretend and extend. How long until the Orange man stops the Russian sanctions, the deal is going to get worse by the day.

1. stop non-military funding
2. open dialogue with the Russians
3. tell the Mad Jester the war needs to end
4. stop military funding to the Ukraine
5. resume normal diplomacy and embassies with Russia
6. stop military support (intelligence) to the Ukraine
7. remove Ukrainians in the U.S. (starting process)
8. remove sanctions on Russia?
9. install sanctions on Ukraine?

Maybe they shouldn’t lump meaningful programs in with the most absurd s*** you can imagine.

By withholding arms and intel, more people will die, absolutely. Especially if the civilian population isn’t protected from ballistic missiles by patriots down the road.
so you are killing the starving kids in Africa by not giving them your food. good to know we have a self admitted mass murder on our board.

We are the indispensable nation. We are the arsenal of democracy. We must lead. Appeasement and land for peace do not work. It has failed everywhere it was tried... from the Sudetenland in 1938 to the Gaza strip in 2023.
yes it does. What do you think any of the peace treaties where one nation gained land off the other was? Land for peace.

"appeasement" has worked several times in our own history. We had several land disputes with the British/Canadians, as well as the Mexicans, where turning over land by one side or the other avoided a larger conflict.

its never as spicy when things are worked out diplomatically, so history glosses over the cases where it works, and people don't know about them; but they still exist.

leading doesn't mean we have to fund the war until its eventual bitter end. you are ranting for the worst type of leadership, the type that doesn't consider the consequences of its own actions, and only considers the consequences of what doesn't perfectly fit their prebuilt worse case scenario.

Calling this a Munich Agreement is moranic. Munich was a case of one of our present so-called allies -- Germany -- preparing to invade Russia. Absorbing one country after another along the way.
what the eff are you smoking?

Germany wasn't an ally of ours at the time. and gaining the Sudetenland was more about uniting Germans than conquering Russia. and the Munich agreement only covered one nation, not "one country after another".

None of the Ukrainiacs will even take a guess at how long and how many Ukrainian lives would be lost if we gave Ukraine everything they wanted.

My guess is that answer would destroy their argument.

I think I asked for the plan a year or two ago (iirc), which is basically the same thing. (crickets) Its an endless war which they want you to fund.

Whatever you give to the Ukrainians, the Russians just add + 1 to their side.

So you see no difference in Ukraine fighting to defend themselves from Russia invading, and Russia fighting to conquer them?
I believe everyone has a right to defend themselves. I don't have to go join every single self defense fight to remain consistent.

just because you have the right to defend yourself doesn't guarantee that you will be successful.

Opportunity vs outcome. only the opportunity is guaranteed.
