War in Ukraine

If Trump were truly compromised he would have been charged a long time ago. The IRS has audited him probably more than anyone else and couldn’t get him. They got Al Capone on tax evasion but can’t get Donald Trump? Think about that because it speaks volumes. You can say he’s an a-hole and a sleazeball, and you’d be correct. But one thing he seems to have going for him is that he hasn’t been compromised by foreign countries.
Not to mention Biden praises putin as very smart during the debates.

More accurate than Nostradamus. Had to have alien information imo.

Many of the writers are Harvard grads. Ehhh... FWIW.

Also, per one of their more renown predictions - Trump becoming President - Dan Greaney, a long-time writer on the show, has explained: "It was a warning to America."

"That just seemed like the logical stop before hitting (rock) bottom."

I am no fan of US interventionist strategies but to suggest the US hasn't spent billions of dollars on humanitarian aid to Afghanistan is factually incorrect. Does it always get to the people who need it most? No, unfortunately it does not but that isn't the fault of the US government unless you want US troops to be in Afghanistan permanently which is not an option nor should it be

Washington Post guy.

This is my concern - Putin cannot politically survive an Fup this massive. His own will gladly feed him to the sharks, turning it all on him for war crimes in order to relieve sanctions and get Russia back to normal with whoever the next putintate is. Putin surely knows this, thus he is more desperate and desperate people do stupid things.

So far, the Russians have not been killing a ton of civilians (or you can be sure that would be wall to wall media). I hope if the bear gets trapped, they do not start thrashing around indiscriminately. Hope we can find a good way for the bear to go back to its den.

Some people think the US government is God and can do anything it wants and the rest of the world has no ability to hijack our plans.

Agreed. I really think that Putin believe he could just waltz into Ukraine and occupy it with little to no resistance similar to how Stalin took Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

I think he overestimated his abilities but more importantly, thought they would actually be seen by (at least enough) Ukrainians as liberators. Thats also why they did not go scorched earth but started carefully. I also think he did not have this in plan for long because they would have had a much better build up. I HIGHLY suspect that he decided to do this after our own disaster last August in Afghanistan.

Amazing really. Couldn't be happier with the results so far. Main thing is keeping USofA well out of it. Sad for Ukrainian people who will still suffer. Sad too for the Russian mothers who will be bereaved in a war they did not want. Sad most of all that the Chinese are the real winners as the primary regional check against their growing military power has now all but evaporated.

Last people I am sad for is the American taxpayer who is likely to send $ billions to rebuild Ukraine after this.

Looks like Russian troops are now firing MLRS, missiles and possibly bombs into civilian-occupied portions of the city of Kharkiv. Putin has no problem going total war IMO. Wiping out thousands of civilians to 'win' the war ain't a problem in his worldview.

If this happens, and videos emerges of umpteen hundred children and women and grandmas blown to bits, how does the free world react?

I fear THIS is how Western nations might get dragged into this thing. Ugh.

Seemingly indiscriminate shelling / bombing of Kharkiv:
