War in Ukraine

@Vol8188 if i could "like" a "like" I would. I enjoy the BS back and forth.

You’re ignorant and childish. Furthermore you 100% refuse to admit you’re wrong on basic things like the fact Ukraine is flooded with thousands of foreign volunteer soldiers, yet you believe a Ukrainian soccer player would have to sneak in and act as a vigilante.

You’ve made your ignorance obvious and should just give up. You even tried to turn this into a #### measuring contest about my military credentials.

A woman wasted 9 months of her life minimum on you. Do better.

So we should not engage with Mad4Vax if we don’t agree with him lest we run him off.

But with 8188, you ignore him…but continue to bad mouth him to others.

Doesn’t seem congruent.

You're right, it's not congruent. And if sharing how to handle someone who has no issue stalking you across multiple threads and fabricating falsehoods about why you aren't responding fast enough is bad mouthing, then color me guilty.

I rarely engaged in conversation with M4V, so the crazy posts were nothing more to me than a banner ad.

The guy who made an actual thread to call me out in, refused to admit that was the point of the thread, and then ran for days from the fact that his OP completely mischaracterized objectivism.

That's some amazing revisionist history.

That's good, several days late but is their a lot of Russian based planes flying across our airspace.

We had a lot of them coming in and out of Afghanistan. I believe they were commercial aircraft but I'm not 100% certain. So when he says "our airspace" that term probably applies to a lot more than the 50 states and more than just military craft.

He was probably only chasing you around because he secretly likes you.

Not true. I was told by my grandfather that I crawled out from under a rock.

I think you guys should make peace so you can both argue another day.

I have no opposition to that and genuinely appreciate the advice. But he needs to come to terms with reality. That post I just quoted is very far removed from reality.

I’m just having a little fun. I really do hate to see people get mad over stuff said in the PF. I think you have to enjoy taking a beating to keep coming back.

we just have to get an adult in office. That is what a democracy is. we can vote them out at any time. No harm, no foul. You have to vote or you don't get a say:

I was meaning both commercial & militarily.

He is mentally disabled, and that is understandable. We want free elections. That is what the west want. He can kill as many as he likes (and he is).

Just checked in to see what's flying and noticed FIN132 is skirting the left end of Ukraine - headed from SIN to HEL. Think I might give Ukraine a wider berth with a flight plan like that.

The West better have an end-goal in this new economic war on Moscow - Responsible Statecraft

"There’s no doubt that these measures will deal a devastating blow to the Russian economy, almost certainly triggering its worst contraction in decades. If the possibility of lifting sanctions were linked to clear diplomatic goals, they could create a powerful incentive for Moscow to reach a peace settlement and boost the negotiating leverage of the Ukrainian government in talks.

But the use of this nuclear sanctions option also carries costs and risks. That’s particularly true if sanctions are open-ended and long term, aimed at provoking regime change in Russia rather than linked to a diplomatic process to end the war in Ukraine."

agree except in my view, nuclear is a long term base load option. There has to be plants that can regulate in response to changing load conditions that occur everyday and that is where the hydro and gas excel. The generation source option that, IMHO, is grossly overlooked is pumped storage. IMO if this country were to ever desire to bring manufacturing back home then generation is severely lacking to support it. Back when I used to try to track these things, China was putting huge coal plants in service every week which is why when you saw pictures around Bejing there was a rather thick haze in the air. I am pretty sure that they weren't overly concerned with air pollution standards than US plants have to meet. And we continued to pump jobs and manufacturing over there and believe it or not, rather large quantities of US high sulfur coal that we in this country couldn't burn.

But you know that low grade coal and no scrubbers is only a problem over China - doesn't affect the rest of the world. The greenie nuts in Paris (as I recall) gave them a pass on emissions. In all seriousness it's really hard to take seriously the self proclaimed environmentalists who buy Chinese made goods and don't complain about Chinese environmental standards.

I’d rather take my chances in Kiev tonight than flying on a Russian airplane.

Maybe, but have you seen Aeroflot flight attendants. At least the ones who fly internationally are knockouts - best advertising campaign you could imagine. I had to stalk a group at LAX to figure out which airline - all I can say is WOW!
