War in Ukraine

'Full-scale Genocide' Unfolds in Mariupol where mayor says '15 hours of shelling' has left 'hundreds dead': Putin steps up attacks on cities as Terrifying Video captures Ukrainian cheating death when missile slams into tower block

Russia has today stepped up its attacks on Ukraine's major cities as officials in Mariupol said a 'full-scale genocide' was underway as Putin's men unleashed a 15-hour artillery barrage while Kharkiv also came under heavy bombardment in a dark sign of what could be to come in the capital Kyiv.

'We are near to a humanitarian catastrophe,' he said. 'Russian forces are several kilometers away on all sides,' he added. 'The Ukrainian army is brave and they will continue to defend the city, but Russia does not fight with their army, they just destroy districts... We are in a terrible situation.'

Awful.

Japan AND India. Encirclement

India is not trust worthy and, per my rankings, the WORSE performing nation militarily in history.

India has practically been conquered by anyone that invaded them and to my knowledge never had a successful war outside of their own subcontinent.

They got conquered by a British Company (yes Company, not the full British Nation).

Any country that doesn't agree with America is a terrorist or despotic state. Meanwhile, Australia, Austria, Canada, and others showed us their hand during COVID...

Ugh, all of those countries are pretty ****** and not just the way they treat their own people but the rest of the world. I definitely don't want to associate with them.

Also 114 > 35

114 nations versus 35 that might agree with you. Sorry, but I think most of the world is against you.

This is why I fear all this ends poorly. There is no way for Putin to ride into the sunset and he knows it if he isn't killed he will be tried and executed for war crimes. There is no escape and he cannot survive this. I'm beginning to really worry the end game is nuclear war. I really hope I'm wrong.

Regardless of their prowess, having India engaged in an anti China coalition forces China to disperse a large number of troops to defend a long and distant frontier. That only weakens China in the critical Eastern parts of the country where the much more potent threats reside.

Same worry.

And at this rate, he is going to have to realize soon that he is going to run out of soldiers and equipment to even play defense, were it necessary later.

I wouldn't have considered it the plan from the beginning of the invasion, but if it goes so bad for him I would be concerned that he may say eff it, if Russia is so weakened after this then I will launch. Or whatever he may do out of anger, frustration, desperation....

Putin and india are working together. india is not taking sides, but Putin is giving them a heads up to his attack, and india has given a second dire warning to indians in cities he plans to attack now with escape routes, and "safe cities". They are sending 7 "spice" commercial airliners for evacs. He is about to reduce these cities to rubble with some extremely powerful weapons.

That is why part of me thinks Ukraine should just give in, let him have it. Let things calm down and let someone find a way to get inside and take him out. But how are you gonna convince a people to give up, I wouldn’t want to accept that route.

MEGHAN MCCAIN: Hold your kids a little tighter as you look at the images of horror in Ukraine and ask yourself: Do you truly appreciate your American liberty, can you say that you too would fight to keep it?

By MEGHAN MCCAIN FOR DAILYMAIL.COM

It is hard to fully process what is happening in Ukraine. It is a hellscape, as all war is, but as is now common in modern conflicts – that hell is being broadcast in nearly real-time on social media.

What Putin is doing very well may prove to be one of the worst modern examples of war crimes.

Since the war between Russia and Ukraine started a week ago we have seen footage of children's hospitals, orphanages and schools being bombed. Huge sections of beautiful, extravagant cities have been reduced to rubble, death, destruction and worse.

Russian troops have reportedly killed hundreds of civilians, including more than a dozen children.

We have also seen great displays of heroism from Ukrainian President Zelensky -- a man who will go down in world history for his extreme bravery for his refusal to abandon his people.

Maybe even more impressive, we have seen exemplary profiles in courage from average Ukrainian people, who are joining up to fight.

We can also donate to humanitarian and refugee aid for the Ukrainian people. We can call our representatives in Congress and demand action, but overall, the situation feels simultaneously dire and completely out of control.

If there is one thing the horror in Ukraine and the tyrannical oppression from Putin can teach us though, it is that America, our democracy and liberty, are truly unique and special and worth fighting for.

Look at the horror in Ukraine and ask yourself: Would you fight for liberty, asks MEGHAN MCCAIN | Daily Mail Online

Apparently another rescue helicopter is going up. I don't think losing two aircraft due to bad weather, in the same area, is likely. I'm not going to panic yet but I hope nothing serious is happening.

As a new parent, this is what is ripping at me the last few days. Seeing these images. I’m not for war, but seeing the most innocent suffer has been hard.
I wish someone would off Putin.
