War, should be a last option after all diplomatic means have been exhausted. Secondly, even when it reaches the point where diplomacy fails, we should still have wise people measuring the necessity of sacrificing young lives for a particular end.

He make it sound like it's just a minor inconvenience of the job.

Are you on drugs? My statement is fine. If getting into questionable wars is an issue for you then you better not enlist, cause you’re likely to find yourself in that situation.

So let me get this straight, you are now going to hold 18-21 year olds accountable for their commitments and duties, but when it comes to the 40+ year old adults that are making these life decisions, you willingly acknowledge that they are most likely unwise.

No, it's not about ignorance. It's your cavalier attitude about the f^^ked situation that 18 year olds have to face. You should be outraged and less anxious to want to kick off conflicts knowing what you know about our leadership.

I understand what he is saying about people enlisting and having the expectation of going to war (some of them unjust wars). That isn't my issue.

My issue is that the same guy that openly admits that we have poor leadership that can make terrible decisions about war is also the same guy that is leading the charge in here to kick off a conflict with another nuclear peer halfway around the world. All sentiment like that does is embolden these nitwits to continue putting American lives at further risk over unwise and unnecessary conflicts.

If we’ve got to be at war lets at least invade somewhere it’s nice and warm. How about Fiji or some or some other South Pacific island with beautiful women? They’ve had to have done something to deserve it…

My father especially hated Korea during the winter, he liked the south pacific in WW2 and Vietnam. Maybe we should invade South Vietnam again?
