If? What percentage chance would you assign to Russia not invading Ukraine? I’d say 1% on the high end.

You are probably right. With the added natural gas pipelines coming thru Ukraine, it would give them a choke hold on Europe..

Why?

Russia depends very heavily on track and wheeled armor. Ukraine will be a muddy mess during the spring thaw. Hard frozen ground in the winter or dry summer ground allows armor to move quickly and freely. They will need maybe a couple of months if they are go8ng to control all the country. The second reason is that several countries just got approval from the U.S. to start shipping anti armor weapons to the Ukraine. The longer they wait the more tanks and vehicles they will lose.

I don’t believe so no. Not like fuel rods in a reactor they are consumed by usage in the reactor.

Yes they do. The Russian parliament will be holding meetings next week to appeal to Putin to recognize the separatist LNR/DNR republics.

Plus the weather is going to get real cold in February may be enough to freeze the ground for the tanks. I do think we’re rapidly approaching the end point soon. Will Putin want to upstage China and the Winter Olympics or wait until they conclude? Funny enough it was during the 2008 Olympics the Georgian war erupted and China hosted that too.
