This is unbelievable. Kyiv is literally 60 miles from the Estonian border.

Talking heads blaming it on logistical issues, equipment failure, and Ukrainian resistance. Really? Russian troops can't travel 60 MILES without running out of gas, food and their equipment breaking down?!? Come on, man.

What I think this situation really shows is:

(1) Putin's initial Plan A has been aborted; and
(2) He and his advisors are trying to figure out what Plan B is.

FWIW if we were actually involved in this war, the entire convey would have been obliterated 2 days ago. Sad.

This is unbelievable.

Talking heads blaming it on logistical issues, equipment failure, and Ukrainian resistance. I think this is probably accurate, but a 40-mile long convey just sitting out in the open like this absolutely violates every military doctrine on the planet. These vehicles are sitting ducks for airstrikes, artillery, drones, you name it.

What I think this situation really shows is:

(1) Putin's initial Plan A has been aborted; and
(2) He and his advisors are trying to figure out what Plan B is.

FWIW if we were actually involved in this war, the entire convey would have been obliterated 2 days ago. Sad.

The bigger takeaway here is what it hints at. A miles long convoy has been stuck for 3 days and not wiped off the earth by air support seems to indicate the Ukrainians don't have much left in that department.

This is one of the best explanations I’ve seen so far of why things are unfolding the way they are . I also believe that once they have encircled Ukraine it’s over . No more support from the west unless we decide to be stupid and I’m hoping that isn’t going to happen .

Ukraine didn't have much of an air force to begin with... what... 60 fighters?

Plus, Russian anti-aircraft is VERY strong. Sending MIGs directly at the convey is suicidal.

The difference is, if rich people in the United States want a change of leadership, they donate to the campaigns of opposing candidates.
