War in Ukraine

That’s the way you should fight a war if your intent is to win. Give the military and objective and GTF out of the way.
Eh, you can achieve some objectives in a limited campaign but in most situations I'd agree.

Transnistria just demanded Moldova recognize its independence after Moldova applied to join the European Union yesterday.

What about an organized desk? Not admitting anything btw.

Well, if there's work related stuff sorted into piles, there's evidence that something's going on and maybe there's just a timeout. Mine was never clean - too many things going on at the same time to ever get the desk organized - best I could ever hope for seemed to be organized chaos.

My point from the very beginning is we don't invade, encircle then bomb into oblivion cities that elected a government we didn't approve of.

That is exactly what is happening in cities across Ukraine. The situations that led to war were different, as they all are, and we took steps to limit civilian casualties when possible, in many cases took casualties to ensure we killed as few Innocents as possible.

What's happening in Russia is much different. The point is to kill as many as possible, whether they be civilian or military.
It doesn’t matter. We install puppets, don’t like the puppet we installed, raze cities and kill innocents. It’s a difference without a distinction. It doesn’t seem like Putin is targeting civilians but I don’t know. Putin is a sociopath just like our leaders. None of them care about civilian deaths unless they can profit from it. I would not be surprised to find out that most of our leaders and nato leaders are long on energy commodities.

As Ukraine Burns, RUSSIA is Manipulating Biden into Accepting a Weak New Iran Nuclear Deal. But haven't we learned that appeasement doesn't work, asks former deputy National Security Advisor VICTORIA COATES

By VICTORIA COATES FOR DAILYMAIL.COM

Victoria Coates served as the Deputy National Security Advisor for the Middle East and North Africa on the National Security Council staff and the Senior Policy Advisor to the Secretary of Energy in the Donald J. Trump administration

In a bombshell revelation, career State Department diplomats-turned-whistleblowers have allegedly told my former Trump administration colleagues that the new Iran nuclear deal being concluded in Vienna is so dangerous that they need to sound the alarm.

As the world is distracted by Russia's invasion of Ukraine and while President Joe Biden condemns Vladimir Putin on the world stage -- the U.S. is in talks with Kremlin negotiators to revive the agreement with the Islamic fundamentalist leaders of Iran.

And it is said to be 24 to 48-hours away from being finalized.

BTW, the B-52 I saw earlier over Romania turned out to be two B-52s one a thousand feet over the other. Must have been a little "guess what we could do if we wanted to" moment, and they wouldn't have shown up on radar if they had a real purpose.

Because there are no observers there to count or estimate. They've shelled apartment buildings, homes and business where people are taking refuge. The counts are surely in the thousands if not tens of thousands based on the destruction I'm seeing it's absolutely possible if not probable.
OK, so you just pulled it our of no where. If you are basing this on what you are seeing or hearing on mainstream news media or social media, then you may not have learned anything since COVID. They are only here to spread propaganda and work you up in a frenzy. I'm not saying that there are no civilian casualties. I'm simply saying be careful about what these people are telling us.

Reading on Facebook that the Ghost of Kiev died 3 days ago after getting his 7th air victory.

We are greatly saddened to report that the famed Ukrainian Air Force Flanker air show display pilot, and national hero of Ukraine, Colonel Oleksandr “Grey Wolf” Oksanchenko, was shot down over the capital Kyiv last Friday night shortly after his seventh air to air kill against the Russian Air Force by a Russian S-400 Triumph Air Defence Missile System .

The famed Ukrainian Colonel from 831st Tactical Aviation Brigade was better known as “Grey Wolf”, and aside from being recognized as a formidable combat pilot, Colonel Oksanchenko is well remembered for his incredible aerial displays that entertained and inspired air show audiences across Europe for the past decade.

A true aviation lover, air show pilot, and hero to his country, Colonel Oleksandr “Grey Wolf” Oksanchenko had chosen to come out of retirement, and once again put on his flight suit to defend his beloved Ukraine.

Col. Oksanchenko was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine by the president of the Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy

The "Ghost of Kyiv" lives on in the hearts of all who fight to defend Ukraine!

Slava Ukraini! Heroiam slava!

What we call Vietnam was divided long before Ho was ever a factor. What Ho started was a War of Northern Aggression.
Not that I support US intervention, but Ho Ch Minh did expect Truman to support him in their fight for an independent Viet Nam but when that didn't happen, he turned to the communists. I think that is where it ended up becoming a civil war that we found ourselves getting into.

There is a story about Kennedy visiting Viet Nam in the 1950s and realizing back then that it was not an easily controllable situation there.

How many have died in Ukraine so far? Estimated deaths of soldiers and civilians
Thousands of people are believed to have died in the past week as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

However, on March 2, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said it believed that a total of more than 2,000 civilians have died in a week of war with Russia.
Yeah, but not tens of thousands. The numbers you posted before were likely the numbers of casualties between 2014 and now in the eastern part of Ukraine.

Here's what we know about the latest estimated deaths tolls as of Thursday afternoon.

According to the office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, at least 227 civilians have been killed and 525 wounded since the invasion began.

However, on March 2, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said it believed that a total of more than 2,000 civilians have died in a week of war with Russia.
