My high school chemistry teacher told us that he was a 2nd LT and had already been slotted to be on the first landing wave. As he said, can you imagine the life expectancy of a 2nd LT in the first landing wave. According to him, about 15 minutes. In his mind there was no debate about using the bomb.
Got no problem with using the bomb on Japan. They hit us with a surprise attack, the Bataan death march, chemical experiments on prisoners and using troop ships with American POWs to shield their ships.
Same with Dresden, Hamburg, etc. He who sows the wind shall reap the whirlwind.
Odessa.Other than a farmer towing a missile launcher and a picture of a tank with a Z on it, can anyone provide an accurate update of the day's news? I've been super busy and had heard there might be an imminent amphibious assault and major city invasion.
Then maybe we need to do one of two things (or both):Honestly..this concerns me more than nukes..
US doesn't stand 'a fighting chance' if Russia and China combine cyber tech, former Pentagon official says
Prepare? That’s just crazy talk! Then maybe we need to do one of two things (or both):
1. Lower the levels of hubris and bravado and actually try to work with China, Russia and ??? in a multipolar world
2. Bring back our industrial capabilities and maybe better prepare ourselves for any future encounters with these nations
So did you give speeches about it, testify before Congress? How exactly did YOU identify it as a problem? China and Japan have been economis issues for far longer than 20 years. You blame CEOs. How is it their problem? They don't own these companies you are complaining about, they run them. They are paid to do a job. I think your real issue should be with the American consumer. Make a difference, don't worry about the price, buy American. Your ire is misplaced.I agree, but I identified this as a problem about 20 years ago. We're going to have even bigger issues when China cuts off pharmaceuticals, rare earth metals, and a ton of parts that we need to repair and maintain manufacturing and military equipment. U.S. corporate and government leadership have created huge levels of risk due to ignorance and greed.
VDV convoy west of Kyiv got slaughtered.Other than a farmer towing a missile launcher and a picture of a tank with a Z on it, can anyone provide an accurate update of the day's news? I've been super busy and had heard there might be an imminent amphibious assault and major city invasion.
Posted a tweet earlier of a T-72 with all its' ERA blocks taken off. Those can be combined with other elements to create IEDs.The Ukrainians are going about this all the wrong way. They need to let all the Russian forces arrive and then IED the crap out of them. Hopefully they are planting them now

I’m not a government official or politician. It’s not my job to fix the world’s problems. I don’t have ire toward CEO’s. However, it is a simple fact that CEO’s and politicians place emphasis on extremely short-term results. Long term ramifications of those decisions made for short-term results are somebody else’s problem. That is why we now sit in the vulnerable position that we do.So did you give speeches about it, testify before Congress? How exactly did YOU identify it as a problem?
