Now keep in mind, the 2015 Minsk II agreement was a ceasefire agreement between the Donbas and Ukraine. This is what our people were doing in 2016.

Of course it would have been a smarter tactical move....look where he is now.

Oh hell... so right now (allegedly) the reason why the bulk of the Ukrainian Army is in the east (up to 60k troops) is because they were planning an invasion on the Donbas, but Russia sniffed it out and intervened. Now, those troops are being surrounded in a "cauldron". This also may explain why you are not seeing much military activity in Kyiv with that convoy just sitting there for the most part unmolested.

Also, there are Blackwater ops imbedded amongst them. Now, what happens if American contractors are caught up in this cauldron and taken prisoner?
