War in Ukraine

I'm almost to the point where I want to send Ukraine weapons and dare Russia to attack us. I'm tired of Putin's temper tantrum. Eff it. If he wants to end the world, let's end the world. But at least let's do it with balls.

Blackmail is just a game of moving boundaries. If people show they won't hold one line, it just changes to new demands. Give an inch, and the blackmailer will take a mile. Eventually you reach the point where you won't stand for something, and then you stand for nothing. It's pretty obvious that some past presidents - Reagan comes to mind - would have handled this situation far differently than Joe Chamberlain.

Awesome if true...

4 Russian tanks enter the village in the Sumski bypass. Residents from the houses are watching with interest. The occupiers stop, the crew is getting off, from two tanks to the other two — apparently it's over — and they're leaving. There are 2 empty tanks in the middle of the village.

Locals leave their homes and put Ukrainian flags in the tanks, and then they go back to their homes, they observe. The first two tanks come back with fuel, see 2 tanks with Ukrainian flags and shoot amazingly. They destroy tanks, approach them and realize the tanks are theirs. The locals are laughing quietly.

The other 2 tanks are circling around the village (apparently the crews are lost). And in the village there is a 5 ton bridge for cars. One tank is going and the bridge is falling, the tank is sinking into the river with the entire crew.
1f534.png
The locals are laughing. One tank to go. Rides, drives, finally thunder in a ditch. The occupiers get off, push, push and leave the tank in the village. On their own two going back from where they came from.

In this way, 4 tanks of Russian occupiers were defeated through a village without a single shot, with the help of 2 (words: two) Ukrainian flags.

[story from Ukrainian director Marysi Nikitiuk from the Sumski circuit]

I'm on the fence on this as to whether I believe it or not. I think Trump voiced his displeasure with NATO and I'm sure getting out of NATO may have crossed his mind. But I'm not sure if that passing thought would have manifested into him actually pulling the trigger on that. And lets say that he did intend to do that, there is likely no way he would have been able to get cooperation from the people around him. Because right now, it appears that NATO is a sacred cow to these Beltway insiders and they would have likely not held back on any plans to prevent Trump from a NATO withdrawal. All the way from false accusations or impeachment to possibly having plane engine failures or something of that sort.

Seems like NATO is a treaty, and whatever a president does still should require senate approval. We have and need checks and balances for a reason. Of course, congress keeps diddling with rules and screwing the thought of checks and balances because it's harder to pass stuff with a 2/3 or 3/4 majority - a big reason why periods of insanity in congress come back to bite us in the ass frequently.

Lol .. Both Nurse and I play an online game with Canadians, Ukrainians , Finland , Germany , Italy and Russians , they aren’t as cut off from the outside world as you are hearing. The online app we use to communicate with has not had an interruption in service for them at all . There was one interruption with the Russian players for about a day last week but anyone with the account bound to FB has had the same problems this week . Your posts do make for good humor though .

Well, two of the main arteries that provide fast internet to russia have severed ties. I've heard they can still tor out, and the internet was built with multiple back channels, but you have to know what you are doing. It's not direct fast internet anymore.

All of the ones we are in contact with must be really smart then . FYI - I know them , they aren’t that savvy Lol

Most Russians are very internet savy, more so than we, but they are being watched.

Internet backbone provider Lumen quits Russia

and how Russia is getting around it. Moscow to issue TLS certificates to Russian websites

The internet was built from the beginning to have work arounds for this scenario. It's what it was built FOR actually. If one channel is cut off there are multiple other channels.

You are too funny , I talk to these people everyday and have for over a year . I
Literally know them . To say that Fox News/ Tucker is all that the Russian people are able to see is simply not true , and if you believe what you just said about the Russian people being more internet savvy than we are then you should have know that .

I actually didn't specify state run, and I should have, so thanx for the correction.

We don’t talk politics of course , but there has been a lot of infighting between the Russian groups lately( more than normal ) it’s just interesting to watch .

I tend to get a lot of unwanted attention when I post, so I tend to use guerrilla tactics when it comes to the internet. It's for privacy, and sometimes I'm faster than my own thoughts. again, sorry for any misunderstanding.

You implied that Russia’s stock market being closed for a month has nothing to do with the health of it’s economy, which of course is looney because the whole reason they’re doing that is to avoid the sharp price declines that are inevitable due to *gasp* the sanctions.

If you aren’t saying that Russia’s economy is healthy, then what exactly was the purpose of your contradictory reply?
I'm saying that a stock market is no indication of a country's economic health.

What does a stock market have to do with the health of an economy? We've seen evidence of stock markets in Venezuela, Zimbabwe and even here in the US going off the charts while the real economy is collapsing.
