War in Ukraine

Can't forget the dozens of photos of fine Ukrainian heroes donning their black sun symbols on their uniforms, even outside the Azov battalion.

Nazis bad, unless they're Ukrainian nazis, then they're good heroes we have to waste US money to support!

EDIT: leftists will call anyone that demonstrates any right-leaning tendency a "nazi" despite no evidence of actual nazi thought or belief, then clamor to arm and go to war on behalf of a corrupt country whose military is literally rife with actual neo-nazis.

Good luck going anywhere in eastern europe and not finding neo nazis.
You hear of Wagner group?

I guess we'll see but I would be surprised if China gets two wrapped up in this thing. Maybe some medical supplies and a best wishes card to Vlad.
I agree here, China will not condemn Russia and back them with limited resources and back channel others. China needs the US and others as we need them.

Sure, the author might be wrong. I think it's reasonable to assume that goals change as facts on the ground change.
Early reports said that Russian negotiators were demanding that Ukraine surrender.
Later reports said that Russian negotiators were asking for a smaller amount of territory and other concessions.
I agree that Russia is slowly squeezing Ukraine, but they also seem to be losing some momentum.
I don't know how this will end, but Putin clearly has a fight on his hands, as an invading army should expect.
There is speculation that Putin wants some kind of gains and concessions that he can call a win at this point.
I think this is a fair summary. Putin has to bring something back to sell his people as victory. He's spent a lot of his country's blood and some military leadership on this endeavor. He's also turned some long standing military, political and economic allies, those are some powerful people that could cause him trouble in the future, especially if he can't sell a victory.

Zelensky is as much a practicing Jew as Biden is Catholic. Zelensky is puppet.
As are a large portion of the worlds leaders not one of the more powerful nations. It appears to me that you simply disagree with who's pulling the strings. Seems to me he's proven to be an effective leader, done about as much as one can in his position.

He's like most western leaders, they put on whatever hat they are told to.

Effective? His Country is in shambles and the group he prostituted himself and Country to has largely abandoned him.

Russia follows a Clausewitz type approach. You fight for a bit and negotiate for a bit. They see war as a continuation of political discourse, with other means.

As I have said, Russia is in total control (doesnt mean they arent making stupid mistakes on the battlefied as they are prone to do, they arent nearly as skilled or disciplined in tactics as the US). Russia will continue to ratchet up the pressure and use more force to achieve their diplomatic goals. The are slowly squeezing Ukraine.

Your premises are delusional.

It's apparent to any rational observer that Russia couldn't beat its way out of a wet paper bag. They are being absolutely PWNED by Ukraine.

Putin falls out a window in 3... 2... 1...

Ex-British Army sniper who served in Afghanistan and is now volunteering in Ukraine says the Taliban were better fighters than Russian soldiers, report says

When Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for foreigners to come to fight "side by side" with Ukrainians, around 20,000 volunteers from around the world signed up.

Shane Matthew, 34, a British veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan and is now helping train fighters in Ukraine, told The Times of London that Russian forces appeared to be "tactically inferior" to the Ukrainians.

Matthew told the paper that he saw a 12-man Russian foot patrol enter the strategic city of Irpin near Kyiv, who started "panicking" when a firefight ensued. He said most of the Russian troops were killed, and a few fled.

"The Taliban would do a better job . . . there's no way they could encircle Kyiv," Matthew said.
