War in Ukraine

How are they losing when they have almost isolated Ukraine from the Black Sea?

I didn't mean to imply that Ukraine is winning or losing - just that if Ukraine did win and took some Russian ground as a buffer, it would seem fitting. It would also be problematic because Russia would want it back. People who do the wrong thing still generally don't accept punishment well - perhaps if they could recognize and accept punishment as a reasonable consequence, they wouldn't have done the wrong deed in the first place.

Can't forget the dozens of photos of fine Ukrainian heroes donning their black sun symbols on their uniforms, even outside the Azov battalion.

Nazis bad, unless they're Ukrainian nazis, then they're good heroes we have to waste US money to support!

EDIT: leftists will call anyone that demonstrates any right-leaning tendency a "nazi" despite no evidence of actual nazi thought or belief, then clamor to arm and go to war on behalf of a corrupt country whose military is literally rife with actual neo-nazis.

What evidence is there Ukraine's military is rife with neo-Nazis?

The latest Russian crew just arrived at the ISS. Sometime between launch and docking, they ditched their standard blue flight suits and donned Yellow suits with blue stripes, which just happen to be the national colours of a particular contested neighboring country. Someone in the Kremlin is blowing out some blood vessels in their head right about now

I'm not going to look it up but China does less than 100B dollars in trade with Russia. They do well over a 1T with the US and EU. If they start suppling Russia with weapons and money stand back and watch.

As it stands, our trade with China will continue to fund their military development and oil from Russia. We haven't had enough common sense to turn off the revenue that's funding China's military, so I don't think we'll find DC (especially now) has the common sense, will, any other necessary insight to defund China's access to Russian oil. If anybody (in congress) happened to think that way, the Chinese will be happy to fund some thought revision, and the congress critters will go away happy with fatter bank accounts.

Best thing the average American can do is to quit going to Wal Mart and purchasing their cheap CCP produced crap

Effective? His Country is in shambles and the group he prostituted himself and Country to has largely abandoned him.
His country wanted to align to the west, they voted for that. It's in shambles because Putin couldn't stand one of his most important former territories aligning with the west so he invaded. He prostituted himself to no one unless you consider a country wanting to self determine instead of being dictated to.

Why do you blame everyone here except the one invading a sovereign neighbor nation?

I don't understand anyone thinking Putin is justified in this. Ukraine has a right to defend its sovereignty.
I don’t think it’s justified, but I can see where Russia is coming from. And everybody is kidding themselves if they don’t think the US would be doing the same thing if the tables were reversed.

So many times there isn't even a choice in avoiding Chinese manufactured goods. At least for major expenses - cars, appliances, etc there's still a choice, but even at that those things are often assembled one place with parts and assemblies from somewhere else. I always look to see if there's an alternate not manufactured in China; I'll also admit that at times I would buy good tools made here and one time use stuff made in China - not so much these days though on the China stuff.

I like to at least try and find a Taiwanese alternative if all else fails. I have been looking for and buying non Chinese alternatives even if more expensive.

Considering what we've been told for years about Russia's formidable military resources, it sure seems that they're not putting much into this invasion, yet.

There is another side to that. If Russia has a strong military, ours must be stronger. That means building more military stuff. Somebody gets rich building military stuff; therefore, the need for Russia to have a military like no other. Supposedly, he who dies with the most military toys wins.

I don’t know about the rest of Ukraine’s military, but the Azov Battalion is full of Nazis. After the 2014 revolution, the Azov battalion leadership were given several key political appointments.
