War Mania Leads White House To Condemn US Senator As Russian Propagandist | ZeroHedge

The extent to which the White House will not tolerate any dissent against its war messaging on Russia was revealed when President Joe Biden’s press secretary on Wednesday condemned a sitting member of the United States Senate as a Russian propagandist for simply questioning the drive to war over Ukraine.

Jen Psaki accused Republican Sen. Josh Hawley of "parroting Russian talking points" for sending a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken questioning the drive for war. "Well, if you are just digesting Russian misinformation and parroting Russian talking points, you are not aligned with long-standing, bipartisan American values," Psaki told reporters at a regular White House briefing.

OPINION

There aren’t a lot of amazing stories left in "The New York Times," they are all so predictable and self-righteous, but if you read the paper yesterday you did see one. "U.S. Exposes What It Says Is Russian Effort to Fabricate Pretext for Invasion." That was the headline. The story explained that at some point very soon, Vladimir Putin plans to stage a fake military attack on his own citizens. Putin will use actors to portray Ukrainian soldiers and Intel operatives committing atrocities against Russians. Then he’s going to videotape the whole thing and secretly release to the world. When people in the West see the clips of that on Facebook they will understand why Putin was justified in invading Ukraine. So it's a Psyop. Pretty diabolical.

Bloomberg admitted that it had the headline ready to go, despite an "invasion" not at all being the reality. The hugely influential global financial news company said late in the day Friday: "We prepare headlines for many scenarios and the headline 'Russia Invades Ukraine' was inadvertently published around 4 p.m. ET today on our website. We deeply regret the error. The headline has been removed and we are investigating the cause."

My disdain for TC is well known. I think he's as pseudo intellectual as is humanly possible. The fake furrowed brow, pretending he's trying to understand when it's just sarcasm on his part is so, so pathetic.

And that's why his audience likes him. Their idiocy dressed up in fake thoughtfulness.

It's a testament to how dumb his audience is that TC has persuaded large segments of the GOP that there's no real problem with Russia and Ukraine and we ought to just let it happen. That it's somehow okay or even righteous.
