Watching the Lady Vols game and I am very disappointed by lack of fans at the game

You’ve diverted your attention from the implied question. Where did you come up with 85-90% percent value of what our fans think? Just seemed you had pulled them from your hinter loins. Why don’t you go back to the football forum to troll, and you can practice how to pronounce Iamaleava.
It isn't a hard statistic, just from what I'm seeing all over multiple social media sites. That's why I stated it the way I did. I didn't say it was a hard fact. So I'll just stay where the **** I want and nothing you can do about it.

What is going on? TBA looks fairly empty, especially in the upper decks. I think there is about as many Belmont fans there as Lady Vols fans.
There were no tickets sold in the upper deck which was curtained off. Belmont had maybe 600 fans there so obviously no where close to having as many as the LVs. Maybe you should haul your ass to TBA if you’re disappointed with attendance.

To be fair and centered, I believe, they can be slow, and have a tendency to lose focus, but not lazy. Just curious why you would come out with such a statement on this forum.

The last 5 minutes of these tournament games are a marathon with the constant timeouts and reviews. Wish they would cut way back on the number of team time outs or do something.

This hurts us more than some teams because we go deeper into our bench and try to wear other teams down. And in a game where the other team has to go all out to overcome a deficit it doesn't help to give them breathers down the stretch. Every time I thought we were going to build momentum there was a stoppage.

You need to calibrate your eyes! UT students outnumbered Belmont at least 2 to 1! Here is a picture of the UT students; Belmont occupied half of the retractable section (lower) in the opposite endzone. UT students filled the entire retractable section plus half of the permanent endzone seats.
Very possible my ancient eyes need calibrating. When I say students, I mean the young people standing and loudly cheering the whole game. Many, or most, in the photo you shared are not students at all. And certainly were not "student active" the whole game. Again, I sat in the wedge right next to that section. Maybe 6 or 7 rows and the small pep band were acting like students. Someone who was there, please help me. Up until Pucketts shot, what section was by far making the most noise and having the most fun? That was my point. Also, Belmont had a fairly sizable section behind their bench.

That’s your opinion, bruh. And if you’re watching on television, you ain’t getting the wind blown in your face from the speed on the court. Or YOU are slow.
I’m slower now than I want to be, because I’m 57. I have played and watched basketball for a long time. We mostly get out hustled by most teams we have played, due to laziness and slowness. NEVER saw this under Pat, she knew how to instill toughness and hustle. If you can’t see that you are either lying to yourself or you are truly the slow one

Green had huffort (hustle and effort) in spades. Bless her heart!

You’re right she did, and so does Puckett, the rest, not so much
Yeah boy, that Miles and Wynn are so dang slow and lazy!

You do you, but that's a completely simplistic and inaccurate take on this team. And shows you haven't followed the season much.

But if I truly thought my team was lazy, I wouldn't follow them for a nanosecond. Also, the Pat days are gone and not coming back.

You ain’t getting the wind either, unless you’re sitting on the bench or at the scorer’s table

You are lost. I have watched every single game this year and most games that the ladies have EVER played. Make no mistake. I am a fan who watches and supports Tennessee football, mens and womens basketball, baseball, softball and golf. The fact that the Pat days are over still doesn’t excuse the fact we have been getting out hustled by most teams we have played this year. We have more talent than almost all, but we have not had more want to

I am a long time fan....since 1980.....and attended probably 15or so post season games at the Summitt and there has rarely been a great crowd even when Coach Summitt was in her prime in the 90's.I found it very strange that regular season games would outdraw NCAA tourney games .

I attended several when I was a student, they had more fans than the Men's team at the time. Bruce Pearl became coach my senior year and the Men started to pull a crowd then.

I went to games against UCONN and Xavier and they had a packed house.

Were UCONN and Xavier post season games ? I never attended an NCAA game at the Summitt that was packed .The most that attended was less than 8,000.

I agree with you. The team isn’t lazy or slow.. take it from the actual coaches they’ve faced most recently Belmont HC Brooks. J.Walker, Miles, and Kaiya just faced two outstanding PGs over the last two games that they made earn every single point. They deserve credit.
Dye has been the best athlete on the court in every game we’ve played since the SEC tourney through our game last night.
You don’t win those battles and advance to the Sweet 16.. with a lazy, slow team. That isn’t possible. You could even give a false perception of the teams they’ve played so far and still fail to give a credible indication of how a slow and lazy team makes it to the Sweet 16. Also, I wish those people that claim to be fans would stop using the greatness of Pat Summit teams to bash the current team.
In contrast, whats impressed me so much is the way those former LV players all support this team and its players.

We have advanced to the sweet 16 over Buffalo and Belmont. Not exactly women’s basketball powerhouses. Should beat them on talent alone. Do you honestly think any opposing coach would say that their opponent was slow and lazy. We are the worst passing team in the history of womens basketball. Every game we have slow little passes stolen, stolen inbound passes, EVERY DAMN GAME. There are very few crisp passes, lazy and lackadaisical is the norm. If you are unable to see that, then you are a prime example of “ there are none so blind, as those who WILL not see”

We had 9 turnovers total and Walker was working on a triple double. 8 assists 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not what I saw. Actual students, counting the men's teams, was not more than 6 or 7 rows and the pepband. The rest of folks in that endzone (which I sat next to) were run of mill, sit on your hands LV fans. And no question that Belmont bunch in the other endzone were the loudest and most enthusiastic.

UT students do not go to LV games, sadly.

UT scanned over 800 student tickets last night, with a donor purchasing the extras beyond the 750 the NCAA allots for students. That’s more than 6 or 7 rows.
