What does walker’s “almost triple double” have to do with what I said. Admit it or not, we have had a problem all year with unforced errors. Have even heard commentators make mention of it on numerous games. The LAZY little inbound pass that got stolen almost got us beatWe had 9 turnovers total and Walker was working on a triple double. 8 assists
We have advanced to the sweet 16 over Buffalo and Belmont. Not exactly women’s basketball powerhouses. Should beat them on talent alone. Do you honestly think any opposing coach would say that their opponent was slow and lazy. We are the worst passing team in the history of womens basketball. Every game we have slow little passes stolen, stolen inbound passes, EVERY DAMN GAME. There are very few crisp passes, lazy and lackadaisical is the norm. If you are unable to see that, then you are a prime example of “ there are none so blind, as those who WILL not see”
Agree with everything you said, but the slow, lazy, and lackadaisical play that had been displayed in most games will not get us any further in the tournament this year or years to come, if not addressed and corrected. I know it makes some to view me as a negavol, can’t help that. My posts and premise has been we play slow and lazy. I was trying to get someone to prove me wrong. Hasn’t happened yetWe beat who was placed in front of us... After seeing upsets all over womens basketball and on the mens side i'm thankful and not taking for granted this trip to the sweet 16. I'm sure basketball royalty teams like Kentucky on the mens side would have said they played a tight game against St. peter's and be celebrating into a sweet 16 but their home. Iowa and Baylor ... Home.
. We definitely need to pay attention to details and play each play. While we may not be perfect we are moving on. As we should but nothing this year is a given. I am hoping they clean stuff up.

I want to say that in the heyday you had to buy all 3 games? Maybe I'm confusing it with the SEC tourney though. That's true. Even in the heyday the first round home games didn't sell very well. Certainly more than 5 or 6 K, but there's always been a dropoff. Back then it was bc the early round opponents were really bad and games were always blowouts. There are so many more good players and good teams now, and Belmont is certainly one of them.
I went to both games and in general, they are way less fun experiences than regular season games mostly bc of the incredible number of timeouts and stoppages. It's excruciating, it's like a baseball game with alot of pitching changes. I know the tv gods must be fed, but its a problem. Also,it's a school night, and I didn't get home until almost 10. Not young family friendly.
Part of the problem is this team, they're easy to love but hard to watch. Very frustrating. Hopefully a few solid incoming players and less injuries will help that. 25 wins and a sweet 16 is a good start.
Attendance seems down everywhere. Some SEC teams you see in reg season on tv are literally playing in front of a couple of hundred.
Yes back in the day you did have to buy all three games. I was surprised that has changed.I want to say that in the heyday you had to buy all 3 games? Maybe I'm confusing it with the SEC tourney though.
Yes, when I bought tickets the morning of the game, availability still said "Excellent" - so yes, it was going to be a sparse crowd.
I would say there were not more Belmont fans than Tennessee fans although Belmont was well represented.
Correct, as reported, that's what happened. Did you not know attendance has been down for a long time? It's a pretty simple equation, when you lose alot and the program is in disarray for a few years, folks don't enjoy coming to the games. I'm surprised you're surprised. It's part of the rebuild KJH is working on. Hopefully soon there will be a fever to catch.
Were UCONN and Xavier post season games ? I never attended an NCAA game at the Summitt that was packed .The most that attended was less than 8,000.

I’d say Kellie pushed the correct button to avoid a melt down at volnation. You're not wrong,,,I went to four games this season and in all of them at some point the ball went flat and so did the feet.
there some players that the staff has to figure out,,,what "button" to push
when they do, this is a final four team..
I’d say Kellie pushed the correct button to avoid a melt down at volnation.
She played to win. What else would Kellie do?I'd still like to know what play was called
there is an old mantra,,,"go for the tie on the road and go for the win at home"
If coach k drew it up as "We've got time (9 seconds), we'll set up a 3 pass/baseline 3-pt shot play,,we've been killing them on the boards and if it is a miss, I will take our chance on a putback for the tie"...
wow!
calling a play like that in such a tourney,,,would take guts

Appears they chose to die on that hill. Let’s just stone them .Have your 15 mins on this forum which is equivalent to a bunch of wannabes nitpicking through BS… all I’m reading from you is someone going off on the deep end. It’s ignorant to act as if your description of this team holds some legitimacy based solely on their productivity over this entire season. They beat really good teams this year not just Belmont and Buffalo. See that’s the key here every time this team has done something special people like you try to discredit their success. 80 and 70 pts combined in the first two rounds of the NCAA tourney but you are here sounding like a complete idiot bickering about some foolish crap. Advancing to the Sweet 16 without their leading scorer plus losing two other key players, they don’t have to pass your phony eye test. And it doesn’t matter who attempts to justify your point, at the end of the day none of this crap matters in the bigger picture. These young women are representing their school and this program remarkably. We’re dancing . Like it or not.

And how many of those were Belmont fans? What an embarrassing level of fan apathy for a program looking to go to its first Sweet 16 in six years...
