All new coaches. All new systems. A new QB and WRs/TEs. We can't be sure about who will even be starting next year in many positions. Those are the facts. Our schedule looks to be very rough. Could we surprise everyone next year? It's possible. But all the facts so far point to a tough year and the OP and all the other blind optimists will be the ones screaming that Butch isn't the right man for the job after the perfect picture in their minds implode.

If we improve the defense just slightly I think you are correct. I have a really good feeling about Butch and his staff.

If we beat Oregon, at Oregon, theres no excuse to not win 10 games next season. Dont see either happnin.

idk about top 25, but i do think we go bowling this season. while we may not have the proven game-changers on offense (yet), i think we're a very solid overall team on both sides of the ball.

It's all gonna come down to the coaching, my friends.

I'm on the bandwagon for 9-4+.

I think we expended most of our bad luck last year. We have an O-line that can control the clock with pounding runs. If our defense can stay healthier, we will be much improved. We have at least two great linebackers, our D-line isn't the best but it will be better next year with more depth. Main concern is corners. I think we will find a great QB that we can take the Tee Martin route with a focus on running and high percentage possession passes. We have great raw talent at WR, just need to develop it. Kicking game/special teams need to step it up as well.

We also have a secret weapon AKA a real ball coach!!!

Not saying it won't happen, but I'd wait and see what the lineup is before I'd go predicting going undefeated at Neyland. The means wins over UGA, USCe, Auburn, and Vandy, two of which (UGA and USCe) will begin the season ranked in the top 10.

Cool unis are going to beat Oregon? OR invented cool unis and you travel 2,000 + miles to play a team ranked in the top 5!

Immediate help on D? Freshmen?!?!

I know you're probably very young and new at this, but you might want to temper your exuberance just a tad. Give CBJ some time before you start putting this kind of expectations on him. Otherwise you'll be one of the ones in the "fire Jones" camp before he gets a chance to even have his own recruiting class.

With the schedule that UT has in '13, 6 wins will be an improvement over '12. 7 wins will be a successful season. 8 wins should get CBJ some noms for SEC C-O-Y!

Even Saban only went 7-6 in year 1 in Tuscaloosa. And we don't have nearly as much talent as he had. And our schedule will be brutal this year.

We're more likely to go 4-8 than 8-4. I'll judge Jones's performance this season more on how well he recruits than how many games he wins, because he'd almost have to be a miracle worker to get UT in the top 25 in 2013.

There should be some pretty good competition at qb for sure. Hopefully they all get coached up and we have a few qbs who everybody on Volnation loves. Imagine that!

Given our schedule I will not judge him on our record alone. If he can get these kids to fight for 60 minutes and never quit as well as get the best out of them, that will be a good foundation to build on. I do not expect to win 10 games this year but I would like to see our team take the field and fight to the bitter end!

I`m a 33 yr old who has been following UT religiously since birth. I said we`d lose 8 last year. I`m basing my predictions ON UT`S TALENT AND HAVING A REAL COACHING STAFF FOR THE FIRST TIME! I say we should use cool unis to out-Oregon Oregon! Then whip dey azz! I realize it`s a tremendous task. I realize we may lose 6 or 7 again. I am going to remain positive till Butch PROVES HE CANNOT COACH! TILL THEN I`M 100% BEHIND THEM! I am the Harvey Updyke of the VN! LOL. I promise I will poison Candys trees if we lose to them again. jk. GO VOLS!
