We are already behind in the portal-

Doesn’t Oregon, Texas, Georgia, and OSU all have portal QBs? I think several other CFP teams had portal QBs.
Didn’t Dabo swear off portal players but I think he has changed his mind.
The portal may not be the most important piece but you better be in the game (portal game).
The portal should only be used to fill holes, which is what we’ve done. But just because a player at a position of need hits the portal that doesn’t mean we should go after him. Maybe he is in the portal because he sucks? I’ve yet to see a guy we didn’t sign that we could have signed and didn’t. It’s just been a weak portal class, IMO.

Are you suggesting we should have traded Nico for someone like Luke Kromenhoek?

We are firmly in the game. Half of our starters at DB are portal. All of our OL are portal. I don’t have the stats pulled up but I think our top 3 WRs were portal. We’ve got portal players at DL, TE, LB (injured)… I mean my goodness. How many portal guys is enough. Does anyone left in the playoffs have as many as us?

We need elite players and most of the elite players I see on Saturdays signed with their school out of HS

Who have we really missed out on that we wanted? Some of the best players have yet to enter the portal. There will be coaching changes and manuevering after the playoffs and bowl season. Still lots to come if we want to make a move.

My concern is we play at IBdS and the Sewer.

I think the Neyland advantage helped us win those two games this year. We lose those next year, I am not sure we'll make the playoffs again.
There is zero reason with our road play to think we beat Bama and / or UF next year on the road. UGA will out talent us and Kirby knows how to stop the UT offense even when it’s good. Throw in the traditional “UT always loses one they should not - see Arkansas this year / USC in 2022” . . . And I think AT BEST we are looking at 9-3. 8-4 is likely.

On the one hand, 11 wins, 9 wins, 10 wins, and 8-9 wins . . . Is much better than where the program was.

I think it’s what the program settles into with the recruiting reality that year after year we are finishing 5-7 in conference in recruiting.

I hope I am wrong . . . But the combo of coaching level at the coordinator level, and being mid pack in conference recruiting will put a lid on things. Decent records, road losses against the upper echelon of the sport, some big wins at home, no SEC titles is what to expect.

Yall just want portal players to have portal players. It doesn’t make any sense. We needed a guard so we got a guard and about to get another. We need a S but there’s not any good ones. We need a DT but there’s not any good one. Taking guys just to take guys is a good way to DECREASE the talent level on our roster.
You don't know what you are talking about, per your own admission, and are just posting to argue. Have it young blood.

Damn since you already foretold next season why don’t you give me some investing tips while you are looking into the future.
