We Can't Challenge The U.S. Military

China cannot get to the US. China can get to S Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Phillipines, SE Asia, India, and probably Australia. If any of those things happened, we would be involved.

My uncle was in Korea as an infantry sgt. He personally saw the human waves. They're better equipped now. We would have to crush their reserves and logistics with air and naval power. Simple numbers are difficult but not impossible to overcome.

Depends, they could amass on this continent with misdirection and then try and march on our borders

human bridge - that would probably still leave close to at least 1/2 a billion for the invasion.

I did some rough math for the heck of it and if you stretched people from head to toe from shanghai to San Francisco it would only take one half of one percent of chinas population to connect the two.

I'm not going to believe that China will launch a war for world domination in the near future.

What if China and the Russians teamed up to attack the US?

note: I'm just throwing it out there for the discussion. I'm not trying to predict what is going to happen.

They could team up to destroy the retail electronics industry by being cheap bastages.

So, our future enemy is trying to present itself as a non-threat? Shocking!

The fact of the matter is that regardless of how great our military is, I don't believe we can win a war with China. We could tie via the use of nukes, but we can't win. It's a simple matter of population size. If the nuclear option is off the table, then they would win a war of attrition.

Wrong.

Wars of attrition do not work well for the technologically inferior force. Our arsenal of munitions and delivery systems (tanks, jets, bombers, etc.) provides us with a vast strategic advantage.

i wonder if the chinese people would rise up against us if we invaded.

I imagine that resistance would be limited to the major populations centers; therefore, do not send ground troops in until such population centers are effectively destroyed.
