J Crompton was a stud out of high school. He looks awesome in practice and maybe CLK will bring the best out of him. I know how he did not look good in games he played but I believe he is much better than most posters believe. Maybe he can turn practice into game.

We don't have to have a qb this class...but who's to say CLK wont pull one out of his arse??? You never know, and after he got E Gordon to give a verbal I think Kiff can get a steal. As to those who think we have to get a qb, it's been hinted to that we might get a transfer and after sitting for a year, maybe we'll have a sophmore or junior qb on the roster by 2010 with talent.

I don't care who QBs for us. Our players will be more physical, have more stamina, be more disciplined, and have a lot more heart and determination than last year, especially on the offensive side of the ball ! We will win atleast 9 ball games!!!

don't throw too much feces at me, but I'm not entirely sure that crompton is done getting PT at QB...

The only thing going against him (aside from last season) is that Kiffin might give up on him bc he will be a senior. He has the talent, but it's absurdly apparent that he was not developed. That's on Lane now. If you can make Ainge SEC ready after his 05 season, then anything is possible.

Then again, he might nix Crompton all together and move on to youth with BJ.

I guess I should ask 5150 he is all knowing, so I'm sure he'll enlighten us...

This is definitely the weakest schedule I can remember UT playing in some time.

I am going out on a huge limb and saying we win 10 games next year. That is including the bowl game...

IMO we will lose 3 regular season games next year based on talent and coaching.

WKU - W more talent and better coaching
UCLA - W more talent and better coaching
Florida - L less talent but with better coaching it should be more competitive
Ohio - W more talent and better coaching
Auburn - W more talent and better coaching
Georgia - W Stafford is gone probably Moreno to
Bama - L Vols will not be able to match the physical play yet with less talent
Souith Carolina - W More talent better coaches and game will be for show

Remember this, it was not just the QB that was bad it was the whole offense that was put on the field. I've seen better offense plays made in dirt than I saw all of last year.

I think we could lose to FL but every1 else i think we can win. I just hope that Crompton has learned a lot this year and will grow and mature. Or whomever our QB is I hope they do well. That will be key!

Yeah i will agree...but i think we will beat ole miss...coach O knows the players he recruited and we have alot of talent i think tennessee is going to shock alot of people next year...also vol nation tn always has a great year then a horrible year...great year horrible year....

Kiffin knows more football than ANYONE on this site, as did Fulmer. Boyd id just like Tyrod Taylor at Va Tech and Pryor at OSU. They are athletes, not qb's! Kiffin want's a pro style qb. Crompton could be that guy with good coaching and a new system. He was a 4-5 star recruit.

Let Boyd go to West Va/Mich and run the spread. Kiffin knows what he is doing. Anyone that thinks they know more is a fool. BTW.....name 1 duel threat QB Kiffin has ever coached? All the USC QB's were pro style, and I think they were pretty good??!!

You may see Ga without Stafford and Moreno, USC seems to be a stagnant program, and Ole Miss had their dream year already. Bama may be a different team next year also. I'm not saying we're not 6-5, but this couldn't fall better for UT if we find a QB that can hold his water in big game situations.

Bama WILL be a different team next year, they lose almost everyone off of the O-Line which was the strength of their team offensively
