Lane has more to work with than Saban did when he got to Bama.

Saban's team went 6-6 before he took over. Kiffin's went 5-7, missing bowl games 2 out of the past 4 years. And JP Wilson looked like Johnny Unitas compared to how Crompton and Co. have fared.

Duh. Having a worse record in the Big 12 North than Lane had in the AFC is fantastic. Also, coaching high school teams and being the Co-OC for an already great Tulsa team means you're ready for SEC football.

I don't either, but all I was trying to do is find the 7 or 8 I think we will get.

Problem is we are still breaking in a QB, we are fixing to miss the rotation were we have the more experienced QB.

Jon Crompton was recruited and offered a scholarship to the real USC out of high school in 2005. Was Kiffin one of their guys who recruited him? Could this have something to do with CLK not going after a QB in this class?

He was offered a scholly...so therefore I would imagine that CLK had knowledge of him. Albeit it may have been vague, or just through film.

I don't know know who the recruiter was that was assigned to him, but he was offered.
