We would be winning 9-10 games if Kiffin was still here....

Again, I have to agree somewhat with the OP. We may not win 9 every year but more years than not! All one has to do is look at Chavis and see that having talent makes up for coaching abilities! That's probably what would have happened with Kiffen.

Yeah, yeah guys, I know he is the biggest slimeball snake to ever set foot on Shields-Watkins Field. He put the knife in all of our backs, and I hate him for that and how he did it..no question! I wish him the worst!

BUT, that slimeball snake brought valuable characteristics to this program such as confidence, swagger and arrogance! Do you guys realize that Tennessee was the most talked about 5-7 team EVER?! In one year, that man had TN football back on the map! Yeah, we went a mediocre 7-6, but look at the results from some of those games. We had to play #12 Virginia Tech in the Peach Bowl which wasn't fair, so he really could have/should have went 8-5. Hell, if Cody doesn't block the FG he could have easily went 9-4! Kiffin is what WE NEEDED at the time...I thought it was the PERFECT hire! Just turned out to blow up in our faces...but who saw that coming?!

So, with all this being said, what are some of your thoughts on Kiffin? Did you like him and feel was the perfect guy for the job when he got hired? Did you like his swagger and Cali arrogance? Do you think if he had stayed we'd be relevant again winning 9 or 10 wins...making New Years Day and BSC bowl games?

I'll admit, It killed me when I found out he was leaving...total dagger. I enjoyed his only year in Knoxville. Yeah, he made some horrible decisions off the field, but that man was just what the Doctor ordered AT THAT TIME!

You have lost your mind.

What is soooooo off the wall about this notion?! So tell me, what would be be doing if he were still our coach? Winning 3-4 games? Wouldn't have happened on THAT staff's watch!

Did you notice that he got fired from USC for terrible coaching and under performing players?

This has to be a joke or you've been living under a rock for a few years now

Yep... thats why he took a pre-season ranked #1 team and barely made a bowl game...

But if he was here, he would be winning us games..

Wow, some of you people are just amazing with the junk you come up with.

I sincerely hope several people in this thread are joking and don't really believe that Kiffin would be winning here after what he did at USC.

Do you think Nick Saban would have his record if he was coaching USC?

I do think he would be winning here. He had a good staff and he would have done well with his players he recruited but...probation was likely. Like I said whats done is done and Im on board with Butch now. I guess all the people on this post were more satisfied with Dooley seeing as theyd rather have him than Kiffin. I know its with Dooleys players but if Butch werent to make it to a bowl game Kiffin would be the last Coach in 6 seasons with a winning record. GO BUTCH. GET US TO A BOWL GAME. Get off the OPs nuts.

Kiffin:
UT 2009/ Tied 2nd SEC East
USC 2010/ Tied 3rd PAC 10
USC 2011/ 1st PAC 12 South
USC 2012/ Tied 2nd PAC 12 South

2009 was UT's best record since 2007 and the best since he left. He also inherited a USC on probation thanks to Carrol's regime. I HATE the way he screwed us, but I wouldn't call him dumb or say he "can't coach". What I laid out can be verified without emotion or what if's, just the facts.

I would. He also had Carrol's talent which is far better than the crap he has assembled out there.

Kiffin just got fired at USC. He has swagger players dont like. Orgeron is turning it around.
