That sounds like the multistate portion of the bar exam for me. We took it at Rothchild's Catering hall on Kingston Pike. I was at the then Cheers drinking beer for an hour before the rest of my cohorts began to wander into the bar.
The multistate had enough room for error that I didn't worry about the esoteric questions. Get the staple subjects right and keep moving. The multistate almost gave me an ulcer. My test had 4 or 5 questions about Good Samaritan duties, which I had studied but got exactly backwards on the test, and about half a dozen on subdividing real estate, a topic I had never seen in school, in prep class, or on old tests.
It worked out OK, too.

Oh, you were an expert on that subject long before you got here. You've been practicing it for a long, long time. I bet your pals in beautiful Brentwood are amazed.
You'd be surprised how many people are laughing at you now. You seem to operate under the same delusion that many of Pearl's ardent supporters did. There are plenty of people on this board who can clue you in to how much I really speculate. Just because you were some second rate hack in the AAU sewer in Memphis doesn't make you connected. It makes you a former second rate hack in an AAU sewer. You really don't want to go down this road.Correct again. Your % is going up. I've been seeing through bs like you put out for a long time. Anybody can surf the net and give out speculation about coaches and players. That's all you bring. That, and a new thread about being right a couple of years ago, or bragging about finishing part of a bar exam an hour before your cohorts. Earlier, you compared coach Larr replacing Haith to Anderson replacing Pelphrey. That's ridiculous on multiple levels.
My evidence final scared the hell out of me. It was a large class, so we had the test room to ourselves. 50 multiple choice and a few short answer questions, the only test like that I had. I answered every question, looked up, and nobody else had finished. So I went back and checked every answer again, and still no one else had finished. I kept looking to make sure there wasn't a section I missed, turned it in, and worried until grades were posted.
It worked out OK in the end.
The Pearlophiles and The Go To The Game To Be Seen Crowd will be long gone. The frontrunners will be nowhere to be found. The crowds will now consist of people who actually care about and support the program, not some clown in body paint. It'll be a welcome change.
I'd love to see your brilliant analysis of how it's ridiculous.
What does that remotely have to do with the context in which Larranaga/Haith and Anderson/Pelphrey was being discussed? If a guy already liked the "U", it's not a shock he'd still prefer Coral Gables after they replace a guy who struggled to find the NIT with a coach who's been to the final weekend.Anderson assisted at Ark. Has many ties to the south and many relationships with HS and aau coaches in Ark, memphis, MS and alabama. He runs a style that Ark fans were accustomed to in their heyday. He's African American and Ark has immediate credibility and attention of some coaches and players because of the above.
Larranaga has no ties to the south, much less s. fla. He's a 61 yr old white coach at the end of his career and hasn't coached in a big conference before. Recruits don't know who he is, as they do Anderson.
Now, go ahead and pick that apart.
I wonder about some of the posters on this board who carry so much hate inside. Some people are born moral cripples, just as some are born with a twisted limbs. To celebrate
the demise of another human being is beyond me. I wonder if anything is sacrosanct to
these individuals, even to close friends? It asks a question and lays bare a specific relief
as to what is really behind the hatred.
I admit he had his moral flaws, as we all do. I come with a complete set of character defects, as we all do. I just don't understand the hatred. He is gone now so let it rest.
