Well Here is the Reason Te'a Cooper left the program.

Everyone seems to forget Te'a didnt get booted only because of the fight. That was just the final straw for her.

Then her behavior should have been addressed and strictly dealt with long before it festered into this fight. I am sure things had been brewing for awhile

She got booted almost 100% because of the fight.

No, she didn't.

It was the culmination of two years of questionable decision making that the coaching staff worked hard to see her through and help her be someone that could make better choices. In the end the fight referenced by Hyam was the last straw, not 100% of the reason. She would've faced discipline for just the fight and if nothing else had happened, but not something as severe as not renewing her scholarship.

The person who recorded the video is a player on the team. She got herself in trouble with the whole scenario, and IMO should've been thrown off the team, too.

And no, I'm not saying who it was before anyone asks, although many people know.

So why even mention it if you're not going to reveal the information. Too much stuff seems to be swept under the rug/hidden and that doesn't do well for a team moving forward imo.

Just like it was meant to keep most of their identities hidden and then this guy releases this article which will now be the first question Holly has to answer when practices begin.

Not saying you are keeping it going but can we move on from this and focus on who is still here and the upcoming season please.

My thoughts exactly! Someone has always got to come with the, "I know something you don't" angle. What is the point of keeping all this going?!?

Taping a violent or immoral situation is an act of /seriously/ poor judgment, and putting it on social media is worse. I agree---I would seriously consider throwing the individual off the team. You do not do this--but young people today are stupid and misguided when it comes to their social media obsession. There should be serious disciplinarian action for whoever did it. Inexcusable.

The person that posted it on social media was not the person that recorded it and was not a basketball player.

Once the fight occurred, the University took that decision out of Holly and the UTAD's hands.

It seems to me [that] if all of the past situations with Te'a are true, maybe she should have been gone a long time ago...in most cases, a cancer will only worsen if not treated/ousted at the earliest possible time...i hope this situation hasn't caused any unforeseeable damages to the team and recruiting...GO LV's for life...

I don't think Holly handled it properly, because player's always have issues with one another and still play together especially in college, but I've never seen where one transfer because of their issues.

Hahahahaha!

So the University burned down the house because a window was cracked? bad move, UT.

Others have noted that Cooper's behavior was a problem for a long time. She was/is a bad apple. I'm sure Warlick wasn't ready to kick her off the team. That is the problem with our coach--too nice, too good, weak personality. Good coaches are strong-minded and tough--see Summitt and Geno. This is why discipline and motivation have been issues with Warlick teams. I'm not at all blaming Warlick for the Cooper mess, but it seems //of a piece// with all of the issues that have beset the program for a while.

I only hope her departure isn't causing as much friction amongst the team as her presence apparently did.

I don't think you get it. The entire thing was out of Holly's hands. She likely would've faced the same disciplinary action from the UT administration regardless of her history at UT.

I don't see anyone forcing you to read OR respond. It's the internet. If you don't like what I have to say, keep calm and scroll on. :dunno:

I too thought that the player who taped the fight should have been booted as well. I had mentioned that in a previous post, and a poster named deerfart thought that suggesting a player get booted for taping a fight between two other teammates was the dumbest thing he/she had read on volnation. When a player videotapes two of their teammates fighting, you have to wonder what the maturity level of that player is. What are their motives? to me it shows a lack of respect for the other players and to the team as a whole. It also shows a lack of integrity, which ironically was one of coach summitt's most endearing qualities

Holly's teams have notoriously lacked in game discipline, lack of focus leading to turnovers, slacking off when they had big leads and letting teams back in games. It seems now the lack of discipline has crept into off the court life and causing instances like the one with cooper and nared.

Deerfart? Seriously? How childish. And you question someone's maturity level?

Have you ever considered that the person's motive was to have a record of the incident to give to the coaching staff? Because that's exactly what happened. The video of the incident was sent to the coaching staff immediately.

It was later that the video was taken from that person's phone and posted on social media by a third-party.

But, hey, who needs facts when you can just insult people?

I'm sorry that the truth doesn't mesh with your opinion.

You can choose not to believe me, that's your business. But since you're so familiar with my posting history, you will have a hard time finding times that my information hasn't been accurate.

But, I would think that if you wanted to take an action so strong as to call for a person's dismissal from school, you would want to have the correct information.

Why didn't I post the information earlier? Because I was asked not to at the time.
