Well Here is the Reason Te'a Cooper left the program.

I don't think Holly handled it properly, because player's always have issues with one another and still play together especially in college, but I've never seen where one transfer because of their issues.

Happens but the info is not always released to the public.

Just this past year it happened on the men's team, a transfer after a fight.

It will likely happen more now as the transfer is as easy as changing your jersey.

It really is. Whenever HoopDR posts something, especially when he's been gone for a while, I break out the popcorn.

It seems that DP will know the official press release before it's released, but HDR may provide some of the unauthorized footage...

Yep... on all of it.

I don't see anyone forcing you to read OR respond. It's the internet. If you don't like what I have to say, keep calm and scroll on. :dunno:

Maybe because folks are invested in the program and the people involved. This isn't just mindless drivel for everyone.

Since HoopDR abd DeerPark12 seem to be our most reliable sources, please give us the inside on DD. Is this just a rumor or real deal?

Same here. Really hope they can have a comeback season. It has really been an interesting couple of seasons for sure. Whew!!

Well, if it is a comeback, it will be because the freshmen are as good as advertised. 3 of them may start.

But that means hopefully the drama cancer will be cured.

Exactly 1CV.... the freshmen will prove they are indeed elite and hopefully the team can finally go "forward together."

It is what it is and will be what it will be. If I could only have one wish it's that one who left would return and I know you know who I mean. My heart...ugh!

What DeerPark is referencing is exactly what I had heard a few weeks back.

The coaches were out of town recruiting. The incident happened and players involved wanted to make sure the coaching staff was aware so they could handle the situation. Teammates and coaches, including Jaime, spend the next few weeks defending T'ea because they forgave her and thought she was doing enough to make amends. University stepped in because they got the video from it being posted (as did a ton of other people) and they had already had been made aware of other incidents and it was an administrative/student body decision at that point.

As far as the third party who shared it from my understanding it was shared in confidence with them and was someone close to the program. They ended up blasting it on social media when they were thought to be trustworthy enough not to share it publicly.

These mistakes/poor decisions are not new to college aged kids, especially is the athletics world. Everyone just has access to the info and as a result all the fans become analysts with their own spin/judgements. If you think all of Pat's teams were perfect angels then you're smoking something us Californian liberal socialists want to get our hands on.

I've quickly learned that you're wasting your time this poster.

It seems some posters here are very informed on this situation but they only shell out bits and pieces of information while we all sit here and try to piece the puzzle together. . .

Even with the media story, there are still details that have yet to be publicized. . . Posters who have reliable sources (myself included) have to be careful what we share.

I've known of this incident since April 27th. . . Every detail that has been revealed in bits and pieces, I knew. As did several close ties to me. . . . . . Imagine the repercussions if it had been posted right then.

My first inclination, when I get news of something unknown is to see what my most trusted and proven University-contacts/posters know. Once the 6-7 of us compare notes, we have to individually decide if/what/how much to reveal. Sometimes it is done perfectly and no one gets hurt. Other times it is let out too early and we get scolded. . . e.g. I thought Jaime had already been named as the other party in the altercation when i posted her name on June 4th... It hadn't been revealed by a news article yet and I was rained on...For 2 weeks I had to let people call me a liar and say that I make things up.

Apparently dp didnt have the facts straight in terms of how the video really got into the coaching staffs hands

"You two go ahead and fight....No wait a moment, let me get it on my phone so we can document it and send it to the coaches so they will know exactly what happened"

Ok,,,
ready,,
action!

"Cut"
Retake, I missed the beginning and some of the angles were bad on the hair-pulling.

Reset the scene folks

++

The only way a fight gets videoed is if someone knows it is about to happen. Most fights last like 30 seconds.

whats up coach J ? hope all is well

what is going on here ? and where is this video at ? yea I'm trashy and want to see it :)

I'm not really concerned other than she got a freebie to USC,that shouldn't of happened

I too thought that the player who taped the fight should have been booted as well. I had mentioned that in a previous post, and a poster named deerfart thought that suggesting a player get booted for taping a fight between two other teammates was the dumbest thing he/she had read on volnation. When a player videotapes two of their teammates fighting, you have to wonder what the maturity level of that player is. What are their motives? to me it shows a lack of respect for the other players and to the team as a whole. It also shows a lack of integrity, which ironically was one of coach summitt's most endearing qualities

Holly's teams have notoriously lacked in game discipline, lack of focus leading to turnovers, slacking off when they had big leads and letting teams back in games. It seems now the lack of discipline has crept into off the court life and causing instances like the one with cooper and nared.

This.

Rome is burning and many of the LV faithful are still dancing to the fiddler while it all burns down around them. They are more loyal to the incompetent head coach that is an employee of UT than to the program she leads. With those fans if the program continues to deteriorate its OK because Holly coached for Pat.

Good thing Currie is unafraid to make coaching changes. Seems to have a good handle on replacements as well.

You remember the Erin Andrews video. The one that disappeared forever. Seems this one has the same shelf-life. I never saw the actual video (Erin's or Coop''s) ,.. I looked for it while it was still only known to a few.

It was squashed as far as I can tell

I did see the Erin one, what a crappy camera they used :) weird it has disappeared

what do you mean Rome is burning Vols4us ? this basketball season hasn't started yet

I think John Currie is aware of the happenings.

Until he doesn't do what you want, then he'll just be another incompetent UT employee.

Let's hope he finally takes the proper action and disregards the old guard protecting the current coaches. Too bad the program is now so average or worse.

A statement is being made.
It's just at this point, we don't know what it collectively is.
But one thing is for certain...The talent is still plentiful enough for me to not drop my expectations.

Well, Currie already fired coaches he thought were underperforming. Women's basketball coach still here and working, soooo...
