Well Here is the Reason Te'a Cooper left the program.

I'm sorry that the truth doesn't mesh with your opinion.

You can choose not to believe me, that's your business. But since you're so familiar with my posting history, you will have a hard time finding times that my information hasn't been accurate.

But, I would think that if you wanted to take an action so strong as to call for a person's dismissal from school, you would want to have the correct information.

So let me get this straight..the vid was taken and immediately given to the coaching staff right? Why wasnt the video then immediately deleted from the players phone? There was no need for said player to continue to have that vid right? But yet somehow someway another person got the video and posted it..great story but total bs spin..just another noisy apologist for a staff that has lost control of their team..

Why didn't I post the information earlier? Because I was asked not to at the time.

You were asked not to? But yet you readily provided other more pertinent info right? We villified a player this whole time for supposedly videotaping a fight for kicks and giggles, but yet you waited all this time to say the player simply wanted to turn the video in to show the coaching staff what went down? Me thinks your making all this up to continue to put a positive spin on the coaching staff. Right now, they arent looking so hot, so you might wanna try harder..maybe you can get the attendance back up as well with all the head splitting spin.

Wow, you def need a pr job at the University bc you are majorly spinning this entire situation now. If this is truely what happened, why didnt you say so weeks back? Its bc your story is total bs..

Oh and its like the pot calling the kettle black with you, bc if you look at your posts, you throw insults around like candy..hypocrite

What DeerPark is referencing is exactly what I had heard a few weeks back.

The coaches were out of town recruiting. The incident happened and players involved wanted to make sure the coaching staff was aware so they could handle the situation. Teammates and coaches, including Jaime, spend the next few weeks defending T'ea because they forgave her and thought she was doing enough to make amends. University stepped in because they got the video from it being posted (as did a ton of other people) and they had already had been made aware of other incidents and it was an administrative/student body decision at that point.

As far as the third party who shared it from my understanding it was shared in confidence with them and was someone close to the program. They ended up blasting it on social media when they were thought to be trustworthy enough not to share it publicly.

These mistakes/poor decisions are not new to college aged kids, especially is the athletics world. Everyone just has access to the info and as a result all the fans become analysts with their own spin/judgements. If you think all of Pat's teams were perfect angels then you're smoking something us Californian liberal socialists want to get our hands on.

i can understand all that, but if someone like dp is going to open his trap and spill some of the story and leave other pertinent info out, then it is best to just not say anything at all..

Also, it sucks that we lost a really good player bc the higher ups watched a vid that could have easily been deleted and forgot about. The players and nared forgave coop, and that should have been good enough!!

Well...maybe so, but it would seem Coop made her own bed. She was an ongoing problem and was given the chance to reform. She shouldn't have attacked another player...period. We lost a really good player because she didn't want to follow the rules.

Very true..and i guess she had to face the consequences..

I will say that Holly has had some incredible bad luck with all the injuries and all the drama surrounding the players and such. I hope the staff can get everything settled down and get back to focused on basketball. I want this season to be a huge success for holly and the team!

No. You vilified a player for doing that. I told you at the time that was ridiculous. I didn't elaborate then because I couldn't.

I can't win with you, so whatever. I stopped posting here for a long time because of people like you. Probably should have stayed away.

Yes, i rightfully villified a player who i thought was videotaping a fight with another player for devious reasons and YOU were the person who leaked some of that info and you also said that the video was put on social media by the player who recorded it. What was i supposed to think? You then said it was a dumb comment without elaborating, which left me scratching my head. I m not a mind reader sir, as it would have been best for you to just keep quiet.

You just strike me as really standoffish..if ppl like me bother you so much, you need to get out more bc im really not that bad compared to some on here..maybe the summitt is a better place for you and i say that with sincere honesty

P.s. sometimes you have some good things to say and contribute, but it doesnt come without a swipe at lady vol fans who pay good money to support this team and staff

I absolutely did not EVER say that because it isn't true. I invite you to direct me to the post where I said that.

Have you ever considered that the person's motive was to have a record of the incident to give to the coaching staff? Because that's exactly what happened. The video of the incident was sent to the coaching staff immediately.

It was later that the video was taken from that person's phone and posted on social media by a third-party.

But, hey, who needs facts when you can just insult people?

DP you are quite accurate when you do post......99% of the time. Your scenario with the video may be what is being told, but that is not how it actually got to the staff.

It seems some posters here are very informed on this situation but they only shell out bits and pieces of information while we all sit here and try to piece the puzzle together. First I thought they were being cautious due to the sensitive nature of the subject. But here it is a well-known media figure has released details of the situation to the public...with his name on it. I guess legal repercussions are not a concern. Why are people here so hesitant to set the record straight if they have the information? Anonymously might I add...no one knows your real name or who you are unless you tell them here.

Someone mentioned that all the other forums on VolNation share information freely and almost instantly...so it can't be a matter of being scared of the Moderator. Sometimes it seems like it's just to say "Hahaaa...I know and you don't!". How does that help anyone? Holly has been bashed mercilessly, the Program has been bashed, the University has been bashed, and Te'a has definitely been bashed and dragged through the mud... all because people don't actually know what happened and they're spinning imaginary scenarios that probably are not true. (There are so many threads on this topic now. LONG... long... threads.)

At this point the situation is public. The media will continue to dig and divulge information and Holly will definitely be asked about it. From the bits and pieces you've shared here (DeerPark & HoopDR), Te'a may not be this monster people are making her out to be. It sounds like she was remorseful and tried to make things right with everyone. It must have been a sincere effort if Jaime so quickly defended her. Perhaps the catalyst for this incident was something very basic and the girls are not brats with chemistry issues who hate each other's guts. Not saying that's the case but who knows! It's unfortunate that the "all-knowing" posters are OK with people running wild with fantasy scenarios to the detriment of the players' reputations and the Program as a whole. But kudos to you for being "in the know".

Facts? They don't need no stinkin' facts. It just gets in the way. The fact that this post just keeps on giving when it should have died long ago, even though people with credibility keep trying to right the ship, should tell you that facts are not needed or wanted if they get in the way of good ole mud slinging.

If you let posters get to you to the point that you stop posting, everyone gets punished for the ignorance of a few. Please keep posting and ignore the personal attacks. Consider the source and their motivation and if you so desire....fire back as you have been. They just want to run the positive posters away anyway.

Apparently dp didnt have the facts straight in terms of how the video really got into the coaching staffs hands

Very well said! This is my point exactly! So many people have "inside sources" and seem to want to be the first to say "I told you so" not understanding that it makes the situation look worst with so many people formulating opinions based on whether they trust said individuals to be reliable sources or not!

If you know and don't want to share, don't mention it!

If you mention it, don't beat around the bush just state it!

Point blank, period!

But how do we know that, Boxer? Who knows the real story - HoopDR or DeerPark12?

This is getting like Days of Our Lives....

It really is. Whenever HoopDR posts something, especially when he's been gone for a while, I break out the popcorn.

It seems that DP will know the official press release before it's released, but HDR may provide some of the unauthorized footage...
