Are you trying to argue that Sal's defense has played better than this one? If so, this discussion and any discussion with you is pointless. Yet Richt held onto him for so long because he was a terrible coach and wanted to jeopardize his own coaching career? As I have already stated they played very well against SC, and the second half's against UGA, UF, and Missouri (don't try to tell me Missouri wasn't trying to score)

You're absolutely spot on. As I have said I am not sold on Jancek. I think he has made some terrible decisions. Honestly after the AU game I was calling to fire him. However after calming down I changed my mind. We cannot keep changing coaches or we are not going to succeed. We need stability and consistently, especially for recruiting purposes.

Now if at the end of next season there is not significant improvement, then we can start the conversation of replacing him.

Richt held on to him for 1 year as D coordinator.

Sunseri couldn't call a good defense. There is not too many that will argue against that.

We are seeing the same results from Jancek

Are you seeing anything different from this year and last year on D?

What are the improvements?

What about player development on D?

Who has improved on D that was here last year?

Does Cincy consistently have to play the level of talent as we face in the SEC?

He was only D coordinator at Cincy last year

He has 2 years experience as a D1 coordinator.

This is not the place to learn on the job

No but he recruited the talent it took to compete in the conference he was in. I am leaving the argument of can he coach or not to you guys but it is not fair to him to say he recruited bad players to UGA and not give him credit for his recruiting at Cincy

I am confused, I thought our defense is the worst in CF and that's why AU ran through us like Swiss cheese? If that's the case, what's with Georgia? They have the 4th best rushing and 5th best total D in the SEC. AU is on pace to put more rushing yards on Georgia then they put on us.

So maybe it has nothing to do with the defense and more to do with AU just being that good? I wonder what the deal is?

I think he is just saying it's too early to talk about firing a coordinator when there are so many other things factoring into our defensive woes. I think there is more wisdom in waiting to see what happens next year before the team looks at staff changes. This program desperately needs some consistent leadership and it doesn't help to ax a coordinator in year one after we are on our 4th Defensive coordinators in the last five years. :peace2:

Did Cincy ever go undefeated? Ever only lose one game? They won the Big East. Let's not give him a hall of fame jacket yet...
