Were we overmatched, outcoached or just lackadaisical with today's effort?

UGA controlled the LOS. Sometimes it just isn’t your day. We still have playoff hopes and that’s all that you can ask for

They were affected by the noise. Early penalties hurt drives and they burned our corners. The offense was not able to get back in sync.

The UGA fans are insufferable right now but don't let that get you down about the season. I also think the Alabama band wagon has jumped on Georgia right now as well.

College Football is crazy and the way things are going tonight, it is opening the door for a possible UGA-Tennessee rematch. It is hard to beat a team twice.

I can see a UGa-TCU and OSU-UT CFP….

While on paper, it looked like we only lost by 2 TDs, the game got away from us early. In reality, we were never really competitive. We blew our chances of making a strong comeback with silly penalties and interceptions. Living down here in GA, I have to face another year of knowing we lost again. Basketball doesn't count at all. We could beat GA senseless b-ball and no one cares.

I saw only the first half but felt that the score was closer than the game really was. Fact is, UGA just has the players. The talent. To beat them you have to play perfectly and catch some breaks. UT with the penalties and turnovers did itself no favors, did not give themselves a chance.

But fact is I don't think even with a perfect UT game you'd have beaten them, they're just better than everyone else right now.

Pocket was never clean. Vision was effected. Blitz’s off the edge had him nervous every play as well.
Yeah, all these folks blaming Hooker, go back and watch the game ---pay close attention to our line being pushed back at each snap compared to the time Bennett had when they snapped the ball. Hooker was not on his best game, but can't lay all this on him IMHO

We found the kryptonite in the fast-action offense.. RAIN.. slippery, muddy field slows down the quick runners and getting back quick to the line.
With all that removed we were very pedestrian on our offense.

Out coached. 100% no adjustments. More hurries today than almost the entire season.

All of this plus the home field advantage from a very loud crowd, had the O line jumping offside putting us in even more un winnable situations.
Their D is legit but we could of not helped them out so much.

UT OL played well until the rain in the 3rd.

Hooker missed a LOT of passes. Hooker didn't extend plays. Hooker was rattled. Don't know if it was crowd or pressure of hype but he was off from square one. Decision making, passes, etc. He looked more like early 21 Milton than anything.

D played terribly. Got lucky UGA pulled up. Only passed 4 times in the 2nd half.

He wasn’t able to deliver the ball as well as usual. A few throws he was stepping up into his own linemen. They did a great job effecting the throws even when they didn’t get to him.

The first game where we was a step behind.... If we hit a few open passes it's a different game but overall Smart had a good game plan and the Georgia crowd was an issue... Thanks Ainge

Stupid retread thread is stupid

Your "heisman" qb got rattled and played like ****
Doesn't matter what coaching is
When your qb sucks that day, you'll most likely lose

We just experienced years of stable recruiting against our cobbled together team in its second season together. Y’all need to seriously realize what our Vols have actually accomplished this season.

Georgia, the reigning National Champs, will be our only SEC loss this season, barring something bizarre. When exactly was the last time we’ve done that? Heck, who thought we’d be a one loss team this year with our schedule? We also still have a chance at making the playoffs.

This season has provided a huge leap forward in upcoming recruiting years and we’re going to reach the reload factor faster then anyone thought we would.

I’m extremely proud of our Vols and I have faith we’ll just keep improving and growing.

Go back and watch the game.

Count how many seconds Hooker had in the pocket.

Count how many times he threw it away.

Count how many times he took of running.

This game was lost as a team, but as we've seen before, QB play is the single greatest factor in determining the effectiveness of the offense, and today, that QB play, was just bad.

Whatever game plan Heupel and Golesh had schemed up, it was not going to work with they way Hooker played today.

If a team play a perfect game they win. A perfect game is perfect game.

Hooker lost the game.
In the end it's a team effort.... hooker alone isn't responsible for losing. It's everyone involved that has to take blame. From coaches to players. The offensive line had huge mistakes today... evidenced by the 6-7 sacks. Wide receivers dropped passes or weren't getting opened. Running backs had little to no room to run. Which is also on the offensive line. Coaching wasn't great today. We changed nothing even tho hooker was getting thrown around. Hooker may have had an off game but it's far from just his fault.
It was the whole team that got beat today by a damn good opponent.
