Again, they didn't seem to want that before, and that was before the show cause.

If Pearl is going to coach again in the bigger conferences, he's going to have to pay dues all over again. Which means he'll have to start at a low D1 program.

I was referring to other AD's that were approaching Pearl. Yes Hamilton was an idiot.....I thought people were too hard till he did that idiotic interview before the NCAA tourney.

As for the other two questions....they are not as relevant bc I was talking about him after he was a proven big time coach not when he was the hot name at a lower division school.

Those were great times and I have never said otherwise.

Now if you want to contribute to the discussion and attempt to answer one of my questions then by all means go ahead, if not then why get involved? To start another Pearl debate?

That's what people are aaying, was he really some "hot name" ala Shaka Smart or Brad Stevens? If he was such a hot name then surely other schools were after him right, no way we were the only ones. So who were those schools?

That was a different discussion from before but no I doubt think he was as hot an item as Shaka and Stevens but I feel that is bc both had a final four on their résumé. Pearl was one of the hottest names from the mid major ranks at the time.

Disagree, but ok. If he was there would've been others that had offered him, and we wouldn't have gotten him for as cheap as we did.

Iirc Pearl was not our #1 target at the time

Because you guys are all over the place.

You claim he'll be in the SEC, you claim he'll be the hottest name in coaching searches, and when even slightly pressed on it, you just repeat how he was the greatest in UT history and all that matters.

Exactly.

The same crowd driving that train is the same ones pretty much saying we've already missed our shot at the dance.

Their opinions are based on no facts, and have no evidence to support their opinion. They just yell stuff out it seems to basically hear themselves talk, although if they could hear how ridiculous they sound maybe they'd stop.

There are no way to prove that either way.,,,I would have been happy with with Altman.....glad we didn't get Davis or lutz.....I just remember doing a happy dance the day we got Pearl.

If Pearl wasn't the first or 2nd guy contacted that wouldn't be proof to you he wasn't out #1 target? Ok.

Point was, he was hardly some "hot name". He was not even as "hot" of a name as Butch Jones, that's not an insult, but it's honest.

Are u kidding me? It's the same thing with you every yr that Zo coaches....when he misses on a good recruit....well we can still get this guy or this guy and have a decent class. When we lose another game.....you will be on here with a new plan for us to make the tourney.....same song different season.

I said after missing Nichols and looney it hurt, not sure what you're talking about. We can/do still have a decent class this year, it's top 20, sorry you don't like it.

There's no secret plan, I'm saying 20 wins and we are in. If you don't understand that, that's not my problem, it's yours.

Iirc Anderson and Altman were reached out to, when they informed Hammy they weren't interested he moved on to Pearl and Lutz.

Same thing as Butch. We all know he wasn't the first guy on the list, does it take Hart publicly admitting that for you to believe it?
