It was a slow burn at first and now it's a mind f***

Still don't understand the turn around in William if he is the MiB. I understand being mad at his "buddy" and doing what he can to get the girl back but something has to jade him from chivalry to cold-blooded. Perhaps he gets stiffed by Delores after thinking she's more than she is?

Another thing that keeps throwing off the William/MiB theory... When MiB recalls the story of killing Maeve he describes it as the first time he saw a host seem human for just an instant. But clearly William sees Delores as more than human.

Hmmm..... man if they go the "William is MiB" route then they really botched that one.

OMG. Have you seen this? Dr. Ford just unearthed the town. Gosh, these theories are driving me mad. I'm glad we'll finally get to the bottom of all this on Sunday.

Knowing what we know about Bernard, I wonder how many of his chats with Delores we've seen actually took place in the past.

I was wondering how Delores could be running around with William in the desert, then we see her chatting with Bernard in one of the rooms, then the next morning she's back with William. I remember thinking there's no way they picked her up for a visit with Bernard, then dropped her off back without William knowing.

I was thinking next episode we may see what happened after Logan cut William loose in the Confederados camp. They hugged and shared a drink, then the next morning William had killed all the hosts in the camp. Something had to trigger that.

Yeah - also the picture of his fiancee set's off Delores dad. Still not clear why unless Delores does something really bad to William and the dad is part of it when William/MiB starts to go apeshizz on her.

Seems the chats were when he was alive (my guess) and she had a flashback when she recognized she killed him.

Was reading a recap and came across this musing

We know that the Man in Black is on the Delos board and that he kept the park going years ago. Remember that Logan said to Billy they were looking into buying the place, so who knows if that means anything. It’d be interesting if Billy was a giant red herring and Logan is really the Man in Black.

I mean like three episodes back. When his future brother in law was complaining about being drug into her storyline that he was already convinced was just some boring crap. They were asleep at the campfire, then it cuts to a Bernard/Dolores chat, then the next morning she's back with them. I remember thinking surely they didn't pull her out then put her back at that point when she was involved in a narrative with guests.

It seemed like when we saw the hosts getting repaired/diagnostic checks/ect, it was after they were shot during a narrative. I was thinking that how it was every time up till that point.

The Dolores/Bernard chats have been going on almost since the beginning of the season haven't they? I'm guessing we were witnessing chats with her and the real Bernard that probably happened years ago when the real Bernard was alive.

I was thinking the MiB was a doctor or in some field that helps people.

Remember a few episodes back, some person came up to him and started thanking him for what he does/he was a great man/ or something like that. Then the MiB basically told him to eff off because he doesn't like being bothered on his vacation time.

Although from the last episode he's involved with the board and the decision making in some way.

Do we know yet if the William time line occurred when the real Bernard was still around?

who is william? is he the dude that is starting to fall for the robot delores?

i watched up to current and it's crazy. it's a pain to keep up with. so the MIB is on the board and he's looking for something that the founders set up? is that right.

the QA chick who was killed, was she doing corporate espionage? or was she just backing up the data?

Yes and he is apparently some type of philanthropist in the outside world as well

It seems that the parent company, Delos, has bigger ideas for the intellectual property of the park, or rather the code that operates the Hosts. Ford (Anthony Hopkins) has been stingy with alloying all of the code to leave the park so Delos has been trying to smuggle it out. Apparently half of the code was written by Ford's deceased partner, Arnold, who apparently created this Maze that MiB is trying to figure out.

Since we are going into the season finaly guess is we find out what Delos' plan is next season.

I believe he was a philanthropist. He was saying how it wasn't enough for his wife who still saw all the darkness in him.

Yes the Dolores/Bernard chats were really Dolores/Arnold chats when he was alive. Apparently part of his efforts to make them sentient that Ford complains about all the time.

Couple comments and speculation:

1. I would imagine Delos has military/political intent in mind. In the original Westworld universe one of the movies/TV shows had the company replacing world leaders with hosts.

2. The MiB did figure out the maze - the church from the "city buried in sand" is the center of the maze. It also has an entrance to the company built in.

3. Seems Ford's excavation work was uncovering the old city.

4. The city is the scene where Teddy went nuts as the sheriff, where he and Wyatt went nuts and where Dolores shot the place up too. Clearly it's some type of epicenter for some of the hosts

I'm guessing he really is Billy and Logan told his sister what Billy did in the park after they got married and she couldn't forgive him. It's all a mind **** so far and I can't wait to see it all piece together in some instrumental realization montage.

are you saying that there is the young Billy with logan and then fastfoward many years to the old billy?

Some things to tie up:

1. Why does Dolores kill Arnold?
2. Assuming Billy/William is the MiB why does he turn on Dolores?
3. Why is the picture of Billy/William's fiancee burned into the memory of Dolores' dad.
4. Who or what is Wyatt
5. With the Wyatt question - why does he seem to have an army of hosts who he controls (including potentially the Ghost Indians that attacked the security guy).

Also, I would like to get some clarity about the maze and why the MIB knows about it/is trying to find it/what he hopes to get out of it.

Based on the summary, we will see Ford's new narrative.
